  • NDSU Bison coming to Brookings

NDSU - short on players, open their SUmmit League play at a Frost(y) location, arch rival SDSU.

    Both teams are 3-3.

Jacks have an 11 game home winning streak, and a 10 game beating Bison win streak. Jacks have lost on the road to 3 teams ARV of the AP top 25. NDSU has 2 wins over low MWC, and Fordham of the Patriot League.

Per the Sagarin Ratings, SDSU #87, NDSU #131.

Here's the NDSU media guide for the game:

Jacks continue their home winning ways against their first league opponent. NDSU will be trying to slow this game down. Jacks should be trying to push the pace, and wear the short-handed Bison off the court. Jacks by 20, 68-48.

Can somebody enlighten me in regards to NDSU being short on players? I've searched their web page and news releases and can't see anything which would indicate this. They have seven letterwinners back, including three starters, and five freshmen (although I think they are redshirting one or two of those. Hannah Linz, who has been fighting cancer, is playing and playing well.

Word is that SR Whitney Trecker may have a high ankle sprain, and be limited.

#1, go to the listed NDSU 8-page media release about the game (post 1), and look over the individual stats (pages 6-8). It's apparent that the Bison are playing a very short rotation. SDSU should absolutely out run Bison in the last 10 min of the game with fresh legs.

I'm not sure, but their season statistics show that 9 players have logged minutes this season and only 8 have scored.
        Holy nutmeg!
