  • ESPN Story?

I have been frequenting the ESPN message board for Women's College Basketball, and someone brought up the idea that ESPN should do a story on us. We have unsurpassed support for our Women's team, which is very unique to the sport. I wrote into ESPN, suggesting such an idea. I would encourage all of you to do the same.

It's easy to do. At the very bottom of ESPN.com, in fine text there is a link that says Contact Us. From clicking that it takes you to a page that has links to ESPN.com comments, ESPN TV comments etc. I clicked ESPN TV and send in my suggestion to them. You are limited to 200 characters I think. Here is what I wrote.

Subject: The South Dakota State University Women's Basketball Team

I know you guys are always doing stories on ESPN on special interest things like this. Well our Women's Basketball Team is in the middle of our transition from D-II to D-I and we are not enigible for the "Big Dance" but we are eligible for the WNIT. We became the first transition team to make a postseason tournament, and win a game. We have sold out both WNIT games so far, with the game scheduled for this Thursday, March 22 selling out in 4 hours. Coverage of our story would be amazing. Jace

Someone should mention that SDSU has the No. 1 GPA in all divisions of NCAA and NAIA in the country.
