I think exhibition games are valuable to allow players to become accustomed to each other, and to try new schemes in a game situation,a game that doesn't really matter whether it works or not. It's not running up the score, as some would like, but rather trying to make the team better for the games that do count. Hope the team takes advantage of both our exhibition games & hits the floor running for the pre-season WNIT tournement.Time to smooth a few things tonight against Bemidji State.

Re: What's exhibition about?
I always like hearing about them, see who starts, who does well, who may be improving, how the freshmeat is doing. I know I will be following a long at work for tonights game. also I will be following Dukes exb game also."The most rewarding things you do in life, are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” Arnold Palmer

listened to most of it on the radio---merriam said it was rather "ugly". would think that is a bit of a concern even at this early stage. hopefully, aj can get a few things ironed out and jacks will take a big step forward come 7 days from now.

--we need Macie back...bad. Not that Paluch or Young aren't doing fine at the point, but Macie is the engine that makes this team go.
--we should be absolutely beastly (...is that a word?) on the boards this year. Sunnarborg, Dietel, Lingle, etc seem to own the lane...at least against DII exhibition opponents
--we seem to be more 'active' defensively than last year. Again, this is based off what I've seen against two lesser opponents...but I still like what I see.
Here's to a great season...let's get this thing started!

Re: What's exhibition about?
Watched the game on the internet last night. Terrible shooting by the Jacks. Can't believe how poor a free throw shooter Dietel is...2-6. Rotert had a bad night from the field throwing up bricks...4-13 including 1-6 from three point range. Young was off too hitting 3-10 including 2-8 from beyond the arc. But.......it is just preseason. Hopefully they will shoot better when it comes to the games that count. They'd better!!When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

-A.J. and the women's team are holier than thou. Anything indicating they are less than a NCAA Final Four contender is blasphamy. (Note that I think they are a great group of women year in and year out, but I mean people could at least voice their opinions without getting stoned!)
-You can say anything you want about the men's basketball team (and people will likely agree with you), but not the women!
-Do not mention USD, unless you are using them to make SDSU look ten times better by comparison.
-If you have a red dot, instead of green, by your username, then you're better off just not posting anymore (it means people are tired of you).
Remember those four things and you'll be fine. Welcome to the board!
