South Dakota State volleyball player Mackenzie Angner earned The Summit League’s Female Athlete of the Month honors for October after leading the Jackrabbits to a 6-4 record during the month, a stretch that included a season-high six-match winning streak.
“She had a great month and this is a well deserved honor,” said SDSU head volleyball coach Nana Allison-Brewer. “Not only was she able to lead us to six straight wins, but her leadership skills on and off the court kept us in the conference race. She’s a great player and a great captain, but more importantly, she’s a great person.”
A senior from Cincinnati Ohio, Angner averaged 5.92 kills, 3.97 digs, 0.59 blocks per set with a .246 hitting percentage, all while leading the Jacks in every hitting category and in digs and solo blocks.
