Was down in Lincoln last night also. I'm proud of our Jackrabbits. Nebraska is a class act. They have a GREAT volleyball team. One fan that I spoke to on the way out stated that we would complete with most of the B12 teams except Nebrask and Texas. What a compliment. Have also heard that since winning the Summit tourney that the coaches have fielded quite a number of inquires from potential recruits. I hope a few of them are 6'4"-6"5" and quick and athletic.

Watched the game at Ben's in Yankton. Nice crowd, most of the bar was watching. A lot of Nebraska fans. Nebraska is amazing, really no other way to describe them. Our girls looked intimidated, can't blame them. Couldn't spike at the net, they were way to solid on the front line. More success with spikes from the back line but they are harder to set for and execute. I think it was a nice to see whats at the top and just how good they are.

Great season for SDSU, I'm looking forward to VB next year, didn't think I would be saying that.

One thing about last night is that we can't do the "woulda'" and "shoulda" thing. We just got beat by a way better team. The upside is now we know what it is going to take to play at or near that level. The ladies did look intimidated at first and I thought that might go away, but Nebraska just kept taking it to them. I am really proud of what those ladies have done for themselves and SDSU.

Wow. Nebraska has a great team. But it was a great season for the SDSU volleyballers, too. At the beginning of the season, I don't think too many fans would have predicted a league championship and national tournament appearance for the Jacks. Very impressive. Congratulations, Jacks, and thanks.

Depends on the type of fan you're talking about. I think the fans with knowledge of the team and the conference expected this. The uneducated fan might not know what to have expect. The team knew they would win the title and get their shot at the NCAAs.

I confess. I didn't know what to expect in volleyball. I'll probably be paying closer attention in the future.

Wow! I heard from several people in the know about Husker VB and they told me just how good they are. So, I was expecting them to be good and they did not disappoint. In fact they exceeded my highest expectations. The Husker serves were a hugh offensive weapon. In fact, get out of the way! The Jacks are an excellent VB team and play excellent volleyball about 16" feet above the net. However, the Huskers are unbelievable and they play about 3 feet above the net. What a treat to see our Jacks play in that inviroment. Many congratulations to Andrew, his staff and the Jacks. You have made us all proud as usual to be Jacks fans.

Huskers are eliminated in the regional at Madison, Wi. Nebraska came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Michigan State on Thursday, but lost to California 3-0 on Saturday night. The Final Four in Sacremento will be Penn State, USC, Stanford, and California.
