Congrats Amy
South Dakota State senior middle blocker Amy Anderson earned The Summit League Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Jackrabbits to a 2-0 record this past week, and she did it in record-breaking fashion.
The 6-0 Huron native nabs the honor after becoming the Jackrabbits all-time block assist leader in Saturday’s 3-0 win over UMKC. Her career total now stands at 349 block assists and counting.
"I'm just happy that Amy could set the record at home," said SDSU head coach Andrew Palileo. "She already had the single-season block assists record, so seeing her get the all-time record in front of the home crowd made it that much better."
