The South Dakota State University softball team will receive unprecedented broadcast coverage this spring, thanks to a partnership between Jackrabbit Sports Productions, GoJacks.com and Brookings Radio.
Beginning with the Tiger Invitational next weekend in Columbia, Mo., Jackrabbit Sports Productions will produce broadcasts of 28 Jackrabbit softball games.
Every game that is broadcast will be available on the Jackrabbit Extra, a subscription service from GoJacks.com.
In the Brookings area, KBRK-AM 1430 will again be the home for Jackrabbit softball on the radio. Of the 28 games broadcast, 14 will be carried live on KBRK, while the rest will be exclusive to Jackrabbit Extra subscribers.
Tyler Merriam will handle the majority of the play-by-play, with Dellas Cole also calling select games. Coverage will begin with all four of South Dakota State’s contests in the Tiger Invitational, Feb. 29-March 1 in Columbia, Mo.
Monthly subscriptions for the Jackrabbit Extra, which includes live audio streaming, as well as coaches shows, are available for $9.95 per month or $99.95 for an entire year of coverage. An audio-only subscription also is available for $4.95 per month, with programming consisting only of live radio broadcasts.
