Mid season schedule changes (playing #1 OU)

I dont know if it was all weather or some other reason. the jacks have cancelled quite a few games in the last week and picked up others. lost a weekend full of games in the LA area dont know why.

rescheduled games in Lawrence. UCA again (won), Stanford (top ten ranked), UK

at 6pm today they play the sooners of OU
it will be on espn+

they have also added a double header with baylor in waco this week

the offensive spark from a couple weeks ago seems to have died with a couple shutouts at the hands of #3 OSU

have not scored more than 3 in a game since then and that was only once
Roz continues to put the bat on the ball almost every AB. almost no Ks and a lot of hard contact. you would think at some point that translates into hits and an improved average. Jocelyn has also been mostly putting the bat on the ball

Dumont, Yoder, and Masterson have all begun to lose PT now. i have to think in an attempt to get them or somebody else going. these 3 hit for good to very good average last year and lots of extrabase hits!! it would be really good if they could find their swing or confidence or whatever the missing ingredient is at the moment. they are talented players and if they get going, i believe this team could give teams like OSU and OU a good game

swinging at a way high pitch and letting one go by right down the middle, swing and miss at another high one will be a SO everytime.... on a pitcher that couldn't throw a strike.... we need to think better in the batters box

whose the new pitcher from Hartford , a FR, she has the sooner batters confused , doing well Oh , it's Lacey, this commentator is hard to understand sometimes , now he's saying her name perfect. She's from Dover, Ark , could of swore he said Hartford and she was a FR (maybe he was talking about the batter for Okla, don't know), anyway, my bad. Lacey pitching for Jacks.

Bottom of the fifth, Okla batting, 7-0 Okla, first batter on with walk, another walk, Lacey not finding the strike zone consistently, infield hit error , bases loaded everyone advances safe. Not our best fielding game....ground ball, out at plate, 1 out, 0-2 on batter then 3 straight balls , 3-2 pitch, everything going wrong in this game ,..... bases loaded , one run wins game for the Sooners, batter hit by pitch , Sooners win by the run rule, 8-0

Some unearned runs in final score, but a rough day for our pitching today and fielding too, couldn't string any hits together to score runs ..... on to the next challenge

Wasn't Dumont the catcher in HS (Neb) for Oklahoma's ace pitcher? I think I read that. Must have been a nice little reunion for those two.

Dumont and Jarecki were high school teammates with last year national freshman of the year, Jordy Bahl

He had the wrong name for Lasey when she started pitching because she was not wearing her normal uniform number

the first inning TK did seem VERY tight. seemed to relax after giving up the grandslam. the two run rally for OU in the second was started with back to back seeing eye slow grounders, after we got the first two batters out. i would imagine that is frustrating and a bit deflating. seem like you are getting your feet on the ground after a tough first and then they catch a couple breaks. then a walk and a hard single and they score two more

i think it would really help us a LOT playing these top teams if we could put a run on the board in the first inning, or at least threaten them. but we have not come out hitting at the beginning of any of these games.

tonight really was a struggle in every area(((( hitting, pitching, and fielding
feels like this group is pressing perehaps
offense seemed to be coming around. scored at least 6 runs in 7 of 8 games (10 or more in 4 of them) before playing OSU
since OSU we have been shutout in 4 of 7 and scored no more than 3

this team is very talented and they seem like really great kids!! i hope they can find their mojo
