UNC game tonight

Alright, we get UNC tomorrow and Saturday.  5 pm CST tip for Jacks tomorrow.  Need to come out and play our best.  UNC is off to the BSC next year.

I won't get home in time to hear the start but will join if I can get on to WNAX.

I saw some of the UNC game on ESPNU. Troy Larson is right, UNC isn't the same team we used to handle easily in the NCC. But then again, as we showed tonight, we can be pretty good, too. UNC has a big guy in the middle, and a good guard. Lipscomb is in their fourth year of D1 transition and just had too much muscle inside for UNC.

If we play defense like we did against UK tonight, I think we'll be good. Take away UK's amazing athletes and their ability to create shots out of nothing (and I don't think UNC can match that) and our defense was pretty darned good tonight. We nearly matched UK on the boards. If the effort is there, we should handle UNC, I think.

UNC has improved vastly over their D2 days and I have a feeling SDSU fans are going to be surprised by what they see.

I am picking UNC by 10.

Better maybe, but surprised .  .  .  nah I don't think so.  I watched part of the second half of your game with Lipscomb.  If the Jacks play up to their ability they win this one.

No surprise here. Watched the game with Lipscomb last night. UNC has changed but I dont see them winning by 10.

Obviously, if you watched last nights games on the tube...the Jacks are not the same either.

Be fun to watch this game tonight.

UNC's biggest advantage tonight is that SDSU played Kentucky last night. There's no way the Jackrabbits will be as up for the Bears as they were for the Wildcats.

It should be a real fun game, though. SDSU can play some defense, and UNC looks like they have some shooters.

I expect a battle. UNC has more experience and I think equal talent. I'll take our coach. Court is neutral and the crowd will be small. Need to handle the ball and take/make good shots.

I expect Nagy to use more players tonight.

45 minutes to the tip. This is a big game in my mind knowing how we generally dominated UNC at the DII level. They have had a headstart at the DI level and may be at an advantage from the standpoint.

I am curious to see how are guys come out on back-to-back nights this early in the season. I would expect some letdown and a very small crowd to contribute to a slow start. I hope one of the guys can spark the others.

The key tonight will be defense and ball handling. Which ever team comes out more intense on D and handles the ball will grab an early lead. Jacks need to push and attack the basket getting to the FT line more.

I think it will be a war inside between Archibeque and Berte/Beran.

If we can keep down their outside shooters, I think we should win this one. Unfortunately, we've historically had problems defending the 3. Fortunately, the experimental 3-point line, one foot farther out, is in effect.

It'll be interesting to see how the D-I Rabbits stack up against the D-I Bears.

Jacks have missed a TON of close-in shots, but Holdren has drained three 3's so far.

Its a game of runs. Right now it sounds like Jacks aren't playing good defense, lot of layups by UNC. Rebounding has not been great either.

UNC seems to run better than us. We are doing better in the half court game. Out turn to make a run. Need to make FTs.
