Looks like SDSU made it into the video game realm...

Finally, in a sport where authenticity counts so much, it's nice to know that there are no fictional teams in 2K6. In fact, a number of new schools have been added to the list this time around--including teams such as North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Kennesaw State, and North Florida.
Anyone want to get together online and play at Frost Arena?

    Go Jacks!

Well this is pretty cool. I still haven't grown out of my video game stage (although I don't play nearly as much ) so I'll be buying this game....

we need to somehow petition to get the Great West into NCAA Football. I would love for the border battle to take place in my living room every night.

My video-game geekdome would ramp up significantly if that happened.

Does anybody know exactly why we were not on ncaa fb, I see other teams like davis and cal-poly are not on there either, but I think Southern utah is, i could be wrong. I would have thought it was because we're still considered a transitional team, but then there's college hoops. So here I sit confused.

Most I-AA football teams are not on the video games.  No idea why that is.

              Go State!  ;D

P.S. I am about 99% sure that SUU is not on the game.

The SWAC, MEAC, A-10, Big Sky, Southland, Ivy, SoCon, OVC, and Gateway conferences are all on NCAA 2006, so there's well over half of I-AA teams in the game.

At the risk of sounding like a total dork, considering I'm in my 30s and have 1 1/2 children (one due in Feb), I noticed the rankings to last season's D1AA squads were generally poor. In the 2005 version they had Georgia Southern as one of the poorest rated 1AA schools on the game. I know because I was playing my brother-in-laws in a tournament during last x-mas and wanted to see what their ratings were and who they had. My wife didn't necessarily think it was the best way to spend family time.

Mrs. Jackrabbit and I are expecting our first, and she isn't all that thrilled with the family time being rotated around video game time. But like our man Bruce says,

                            Re: College Hoops 2k6

My guess is that at least some of the GWFC teams will be in NCAA Football 2007 next year. (Weird marketing, I guess, to call the game for the 2005 season NCAA Football 2006). NDSU plays Ball State next season, so it would figure at the very least they will have to be in the game so that they can simulate Ball State's season.

There are a lot of I-AA teams in the game, I just wish you could actually play a I-AA season. I believe you can "Take over" a conference, and replace it's teams with I-AA teams. I do think that they may not put the same effort into simulating the I-AA teams that they put into the I-A teams,

I am looking forward to College Hoops 2K6. It's great to have all the teams.

College Hoops 2k6 is out for the Xbox, and I can confirm that SDSU and NDSU are both definitely in the game. The PS2 version is supposedly coming out in early Dec.
