I see Ill. is beating Georgetown 25-11 with 2 minutes left in first half. We are not the only team who has problems scoring.

Keep shooting the first open 3 or taking the ball to the hole.

Of course, if NU keeps scoring it means nothing. Defense is the only way to get back into games.

76-67 final, inconsistency hurt us again, but we definitely played alot better tonight. It sounded like we were much more aggressive on offense. Hopefully we can build from this one.

He also said he saw nothing in the players eyes that indicated they were giving up. They were willing to play tonight.

Wasn't listening to the post game, but I do hope he did use the word "ding-a-ling"...That's humurous.  

I thought the Jacks played much better tonight. They got a lot more shots off, and were able to put some three's down too. They can't feel too bad about this game, when looking at the last 2 games.

Yup, "ding-a-ling" was his description. ;D

He repeatedly made the point that he didn't want the players to "settle" for a 9 point loss at Nebraska.   In the pregame interview he said that yes, the opposition has been tough, but the team can see that they are capable of playing much better than they have been.

I don't think they turned the corner tonight, but I believe they peeked around it and got a glimpse of what's there.  As has been pointed out, it was an improved performance and that is a good measure for this team right now.

I had bowling tonight so I wasn't able to listen to the game. Checked the stats and read the messages here. Berte had a very good game with 7-7 and 9 boards. Matt is playing a hell of a lot of minutes. Heien put up some points. Read the comments about some turnovers hurting at key points in the game. Give them some rest and a little practice time to let them feel it out without Steve. Can't wait for the next home game.
