Nice interview of Garrett on tonight's Jackrabbit Insider. Wants to be one of the guys who "got this program back to the level where it used to be" referring, of course, to being on top. Nagy pointed out he's the first player to hit 1000 career point level against the best competition the school's program has ever faced.

Impressive guy. Glad he's a Jackrabbit ("little" brother Griff, too).

Very nice interview, Garrett! All of Seneca, your family, and all those who follow you and Griff are very proud of you! Always keep doing the very best you can and you will be very successful. Also, a huge thank you to South Dakota State, and their coaches, for giving our boys the opportunities that they have been given and for the people of Brookings, for taking them under their wings and making it their home during their basketball careers.

Garrett and Kai have paid the price to lead the Jacks out of the wilderness...and I for one, will never forget that. They have hung in there when the transition was really tough and have now used their senior year to turn the corner on the program. My thanks to the Callahan and Williams family for helping support their sons in what has been a tough four years...THANKS Garrett and Kai. I want to also congratulate Mark Engen for continuing to work hard and help the team in any way he could. Three seniors to be proud of, Jack fans!

I want to add my AMEN to this post, we are fortunate they stayed and made the best of it. Our opponents know which guys they need cover 40 minutes of the game and its Kai and Garrett. They are bringing us back to the winners circle, and the competition is much different and more difficult to deal with. Good luck to Garrett, Kai and Mark, you guys are winners.

The handling of the sometimes misdirected ire has really shown their leadership. Many in the fanbase, and I won't exclude myself, have been frustrated/angry at the way that things had gone during the transition. Had the men on this team had less character they may have been negativley affected by it. But, they took their lumps and probably allowed us to get the recruits that will help make this team a contender.

Kudos to the seniors and juniors and what they have stood for. I can only hope that they have shown the way for the younger guys on this team.

And now we are asking them to do advertisements during the game. :-) Nice seeing 4 seniors announcing the fan deals and the fan expectations on the overhead screen.

Kudos to this years seniors Garrett, Kai, and Mark. They are a lot of fun to watch, are no doubt leaving the program in better shape than they found it.

That being said, there have been a lot of people involved with the basketball team the last 6 brutal years who gave a lot of time and effort who will probably never receive any credit. Players who stuck it out at SDSU during the hard times, got degrees, and represent SDSU in the real world.

I just watched this episode myself for the first time. I'd argue it is one of the better episodes of them all. The interview with Ketty is also very good. Then to top off Garrett and Ketty's interviews with Rod Dehaven's makes it a great episode.
