probably something about how the football field needs field turf to be able to compete with recruiting or something like that....

A tip of the hat to...
Michael Palarca, for stepping up when the Jacks needed someone to take control.

A wag of the finger to...
The Jacks defense, for continuously giving up easy buckets. Need to work on our defensive rotations and assignments (hopefully this is iron out over the course of the season).

Fiegen, Palarca, and White made this one happen.

This is a team project that needs a lot of effort and hard work. Really does not matter who scores, but my God, when the opponent shoots 68% in the first half something is rotten in the state of Denmark and its not Norweigian lutefisk.

I was able to turn the game on with 5 minutes left....apparantly right after WIU head coach went on a tirade, and right before Nagy got a technical.

Sounds like the refing left a lot to be desired.

Way to get back in the game, Jackrabbits!

Oddly enough, Indiana State football ended their losing streak against WIU and SDSU basketball ends their losing streak against WIU.

I thought another key to this victory was Kai in the 2nd half. He completely changed his demeanor coming out of the locker room. He really stepped up his defensive intensity and rebounding. You could also see him pushing his teammates on occassion.

I commented on TV's blog that I think that is the worst that I have seen Garrett play. I completely agree with his hockey anology of "squeezing the stick too tightly". Understandable with all the hometown folks and high school there. He was calm at the end though when we needed those free throws.

Great win Jacks. Use this as the launch point for the program returning to its winning ways.
