Be Glad We Don't Play USD

I got the chance to watch USD this weekend, don't take this the wrong way please. They would beat us soundly after watching both squads play so far this year.

They are much more physical, much bigger inside and shoot a whole lot better from both the inside and outside than us.

I'm glad they are not on our schedule.

Wyoming
Mayville State
Purdue
Boston College
East Carolina
Denver

USD has played:

Texas Tech
Oregon State
TAMCC
Mayville State
Marquette
Dana
Midland Lutheran

I thought we played pretty physical against Purdue and Wyoming this season, didn't get a chance to watch the other games.

I would say they are a little bigger inside, their top bigs are 6-11 (265), 6-8 (235), and 6-7 (195).

Our top bigs are 6-8 (245) 6-7 (215), and 6-6 (207).

AC and Cain are comparable. I think Griff and Kai could hold Cain in check while AC works on Smith. Would like to see Fiegen and Tetzlaff go head to head.

Our guards are much bigger, more physical , and more athletic than theirs though.

And finally, we've shot almost 43% from downtown on 112 attempts. USD has shot 39% on 146 tries.

If we did play USD this year, I would predict a very close game--like most rivalry games turn out to be.

You have to remember they also beat Mayville State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
I know this doesn't work but look at both teams games against Mayville State. USD won 99-67(32 points) and SDSU won 89-56(33 points). This doesn't tell much of the story though.
1) USD played 7 players between 20-31 minutes. The rest of their team got a total of 19 minutes. They played 3 seniors, 2 juniors, 1 sophomore and 1 freshman.
2) SDSU played 10 players between 16-21 minutes. They played 4 more players from 4-6 minutes. Those 4 got 20 minutes(just 1 more minute that USD's bench).
SDSU could put in other players and work on things. USD just played their top 7 most of the game. Maybe USD could just play those 7 against SDSU and hang in there but you know SDSU can go deeper and stay fresher if USD can't slow the game down.

USD is a joke, why do you allow these types of posts on a sdsu board, its obvious baiting at its finest. USD & UND should be beneath the XDSU's. no doubt about it. so why justify them by talking about them.
