I was just on Ticketmaster and the best seat available was in the upper level, if I did it right. A good sign for fan turnout, unless the lower level tickets are all up in Brookings.

Most of the Arena is "upper level" if I recall the old building correctly.

When I looked you could get a single seat in row 6 of the mid-court section. Two seats moves you to one of the endlines, but row 2.

Agreed, not that many seats on the main level. Similar to Frost, think of the student bleachers in seats.

It wouldn't hurt to get tickets now to get the best seats.

Those having season tickets will get similiar seats at the Arena which is why many of the lower level seats are gone.

Our guards best have their Wheaties tomorrow. Sounds like the Jaspers like to play full court trap and run off of turnovers. The key will be to take care of the ball.

Manhattan second-half surge too much for Bison
                By Jeff Kolpack, The Forum

Manhattan College wanted the 100-meter sprint. North Dakota State wanted the 5K walk.

The Jaspers got the better of the styles in the second half to take a 76-62 men’s basketball win Sunday night before 2,007 fans at the Bison Sports Arena. . . .

The Bison, 5-6, saw a three-game winning streak end. Manhattan won its third straight and is 3-4 heading to South Dakota State on Tuesday.

The Bison dictated the pace in the first half. The Jaspers committed 16 fouls that the Bison turned into 19 of 22 free throw shooting and a 31-30 halftime lead.

“We think we’re a better half-court team than they are,” said NDSU forward Brett Winkelman.

Four of the five Manhattan starters had at least two fouls. The Jaspers shot 24 percent and went into the intermission looking for answers.

They found them in the first five minutes of the second half. The Bison had three turnovers in that span – after just five in the first half – and Manhattan quickly grabbed a 43-35 advantage.

“They were averaging 18 turnovers and we turned them over 24 last year,” said Manhattan head coach Bobby Gonzalez. “We wanted to speed it up. It went exactly opposite.” . . .

“We came out flat,” Winkelman said.

That’s not going to get it done against the Jaspers, who made the NCAA Tournament in 2003 – beating the University of Florida in the first round – and again in 2004. . . .

Re: SDSU vs Manhattan (N.Y.) in Sioux Falls

Manhattan's athleticism at guard completely took away our perimeter play.  They were so much more athletic then us that our guards had some trouble even dribbling 3 feet before seeing a double team.

We more then held our own inside and outrebounded them, but they just fed off their defensive pressure and completely neutralized our guard play, which has been strong for us.

I'm not sure what kind of game SDSU has been playing with Holdren out, but if you guys can slow the game down and utilize the big men down low you could have a chance.  NDSU did what they needed to do in the first half, even though it was a slow and painful game to watch.

Good luck you guys, and I hope you can do some damage to them om the court, as well as their ego's.

                  See Yuz.

State get's top headlines in the Argus Leader with instructions on how to get tickets. No excuses for people claiming they no nothing about the game. A crowd of 3000+ would be nice, but it probably won't happen.

Don't have to work tonight now, so I will be there. Hope for a game as exiting as the Football game in SF was.

                          47 steals to opponents' 43.

Xavier shoots the most 3-pointers, and Konovelchick is the best percentage 3-point shooter. Anderson shoots the most free throws, but both Wingate and Xavier are over .800 free throw shooters.

Looks like you try to take away Xavier from the outside and Anderson from the inside and let the rest of the team try to beat you.

Grab your friends and drag them down to the old Arena . . . this one could be a lot of fun.

Agreed. Working the long shift again today and the game will be a nice break.

Good perimeter defense and a strong inside game should give us a good chance. Hopefully some momentum from the last 2 games carries itself to the south. I think 3000 is a real possibility.

A win tonight is huge. Boost the confidence, win against a recognizable school, win in Sioux Falls (for the second time this season), garner the top story in the Argus, 3 game winning streak, etc. Come on Jacks!! I wish I could be there. My wife's current status as 8 months pregnant is keeping me grounded in Milwaukee for the entire holidays.
