    Utah Valley State is #243 in the Sagrin ratings and is 10-11 this year.  We will need a great effort as I'm sure the Wolverines will be looking for a little revenge at home.

    BTW- SDSU is #267 today in the same poll. A win would move us up a little

    GO JACKS!!!

      Utah Valley beat NDSU at home prior to NDSU knocking off Wisconsin.

        a real entertainment dilemma at 8 pm:

        24 on Fox;
        Texas Tech-Kansas on ESPN;
        UVSC-SDSU on the WNAX webcast . . .

        I'll probably watch 24, have KU on PIP, and listen to the SDSU game during 24 commercials.

        Geez, life is complex . . .

          Good Start :
          8 to's and 4 points through 7 minutes.

              Jacks hit double digits with 2 minutes and change to go in the first half.

              Pathetic.

                Geez, another bad start. Too many turnovers. Virtually no offense. This game might be over by half time. A second season of pain continues. I'll remain a Jacks fan, and I'm still convinced that the move to D-I was the right thing to do. (Though we apparently were not prepared for the diffiiculty of the transition.) Non-competitive games like this have me longing for 2006-07.

                  To be brutally honest, I doubt we'd be tearing it up in D-II competition either.

                    In the "I guess it could still be worse" department:

                    At the half, Kansas 43, Texas Tech 25. Wouldn't it be fun to be in Bobby Knight's locker room right now?

                      What has happened to Ben Beran. Both him and Gilbert scoreless in the first half. That has to be the worst first half of Jacks Basketball I have ever listened too. 15 Turnovers and 12 points with just 18 shots put up.

                        In my opinion, which doesn't mean much, Ben Beran has been playing horrible this year. (minus his two good games). Watching him at home, he plays like he is in too much of a hurry and needs to calm down. I think the jacks would be better off starting Loney.

                          I'm worried about SW State at home on Thursday. The way this team played the 1st half vs UCF and against both Utah teams, they will be in for a dogfight against a team from Marshall that drilled us in Frost last year.

                          There isn't an excuse in the world for a performance like the one tonight. There can only be one explanation and thats lack of effort.

                          I think its amusing when people consider honest comments about this years team as "too negative". Some expectations were in place and they have not been met. When should supporters be frustrated and critical? Thats what expectations are all about.

                            Oh, I don't think it would be possible to be too negative at this point.

                            It's one thing to get humbled by Marquette. But this is Utah Valley State College, fer cryin' out loud.

                              Ben Beran line for the night 5 fouls and no points. He was 0-2 for which tells you he was not looking for shots.
