Tell the ORU team to make sure the bus driver picks up the body painted, obnoxious goons in the first row - second deck on their way out of town. O'ya, and don't come back. Ya, hear!

Great win gentlemen. Was not pretty but it was exactly the type of game we had to play to give us a chance to win. AND we did. I know it was frustrating at times when we ran the shot clock down. But, again it was the type of game we needed to play. We were certainly not going to run up and down the floor with them and win.

Congrats. There are bigger wins ahead of us.

Nice win by the Jacks. They pulled out a great upset. I cannot wait until Monday to see our Jacks, both men and women, pull out two more victories.

Thats Coach Kampe of OU sitting above the g on SMG with his hands on his mouth probably thinking " OHH S***. Monday is going to be tough."

And after cooler heads (hangover) the trip to the Falls is off. Nine hundred miles with a headache and stomach ache were to much to put up with. However if the Jacks men and women play anywhere near Michigan I will be there. Although I think the final four in Detroit is sold out already.

Just for kicks, I joined the ORU board, more to read than to post. We have a ways to go to get some respect from ORU. They consider their SDSU loss in SF as the worst in school history. If I recall correctly from my SDSU vs ORU BB program, SDSU collected their second win over ORU last Saturday evening. The first win came in 1968 when ORU was NAIA and SDSU was College Division NCAA. None-the-less the fans forgot that SDSU also played them close and nearly won on their home courts a few days before the tourney. Granted a RPI of 291 is nothing to write home about, but I hope and pray our guys can gain some big time respect on the court and win in Tulsa next year. If you think NDSU has problems with the suicide watch, then you need to read the ORU board. Its really funny. They should be thankful for Hobby Lobby.

This was a rebuilding year for us.

When ORU loses to a team with a sub 250 RPI local media & fans roll their eyes. We have to compete with 3 local D1 schools for recruits & media attention not just one other NAIA school.

We don't really compete with Arkansas. We almost signed Rotnei Clarke this past season but that rarely happens. Like I said our local media market covers 4 college programs.

I think SDSU is a good addition to The Summit and will even challenge for #2-#3 next season as the darkhorse due to Nagy's coaching. He is quality. I really like your chances over NDSU in the long run.

I was referring to our geography SDSU has to recruit against Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State & Minnesota for basketball players--not to mention NDSU.

If you draw a circle with 3.5M people in it, centered in Brookings, you've got most of the Minneapolis metro, as well as a good chunk of Iowa and Nebraska.

I was not implying that ORU was an NAIA School NOW I made reference to when SDSU beat ORU in 1968. ORU was probably NAIA then, as I doubt ORU then a very new school did not start out at the D1 level or did they?

Yes you do have the D1 competition from OSU, OU and Tulsa U for recruiting, but even still you have some of the best in the Summit League. So as I said before, be thankful for Hobby Lobby, or there might be no athletics at ORU. For those who dont get the Hobby Lobby connection, the founder is now running ORU instead of the crown prince Richard Roberts.

I'm pretty sure Golden Eagle was referring to USF:

As in, SDSU has to compete for recruits with USF, where ORU has to compete for recruits with Tulsa, Ok-State, and OU.

In the words of the Dixie Chicks: "There's your trouble. . ."

(Although I'm not sure we're actually competing that much with USF for recruits . . . NDSU, UNI, the UxDs, Creighton, and the Wisconsin schools, maybe, but USF, not so much.)

. I would take him over Phillips at NDSU. He looked real smart with other people's recruits. Cordova is a solid big who plays much taller than his height and and your guards are quick.

I didn't come over here to talk smack. I root for you guys EVERY non-conference game you play.

Truce, Golden Eagle. Save your voice for the next SDSU-ORU game and I will do the same. Apparently, I misunderstood your comment. My apologies. Also I retract the Hobby Lobby comment.
