    Re: Cal Poly-Official Game Thread

Kai's three rolls out and Cal-Poly has a man down the court

    Damn
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Williams misses a 3, Poly gets a quick bucket and wins 66-62

not exactly shocked by this, the Jacks can't win on the road and it's getting old. I know this game doesn't mean much, but it could have been a stepping stone heading into next weekend.

It is what it is. Jacks will play in the post-season tourney. It is likely this team will continue to underachieve. They have proven a couple of things this year. The ability to lose games they should and the ability not to win games they could. I'm sure I'll get dinged for saying it but facts are facts. Anyone who thinks just qualifying for the post-season by other teams losing as a positive outcome is not living in the moment in my opinion. We aren't a very good team right now and the NCAA tourney is not in our near our distant future.

                  OK, I'm shrugging this one off . . .

The Jacks will not lose again this regular season.

They'll beat ORU in Tulsa, breaking their 0-fer string in a big way.

Then, they'll beat Centenary in Shreveport.

(Oddly enough, my glasses seem to have taken on this odd royal-blue tint . . .)

                  G'Rabbits!

(Oh, yeah, we'll send the Bison into the NIT in the Summit League tournament, too.)

At this rate every team in the country will want to play the Jacks. At their home court of course. The Jacks got to be the best guest in the country.

Show us the guarantee money, baby!!

(If we're going to lose on the road, we might as well earn five figures for doing it!)

I agree, just qualifying for the Tourney by other teams losing is not what I want to see. If we could play solid defense for 40 minutes and rebound properly, these close games would never be close, but if we keep giving up offensive rebounds until they score, how can we expect to win? I dunno. This game really does not build confidence for the final two road games.

Nagy sounded a little pissed off on this one. Bad week to be a Jack in practice this week.
