Congrats to Cadwell. Great job. ... And congrats to Blue Hat for being able to pay attention to the game while watching those fisher-babes.

                  Nagy's WNAX post-game comments:
We were in this game the whole time, our kids did a good job competing except the very beginning of the game. We put a whole new five in and those kids gave us a lift. Cadwell played like we've seen him play before. I told the kids we stayed in the San Diego State game for 35 minutes, we stayed in this game until the end. There's no reason why we should stay in a lot of games we played. I feel as good now as I did after the North Dakota State game. No group of guys should have to go through what we've gone through, I thought they came through with class.

I told the guys we gave away points with turnovers in the first half. We didn't handle pressure well all year.

We did a good job defensively, they play fast so they're going to turn it over. Very rarely we were good in the first half, we were out of a lot of games at the half.

Cadwell played at the point today, he handles pressure very well, he handles the ball well. When Austin Hanson and Matt Jones broke the record, they had good seniors around them. What you look at what Matt's done, he just hasn't had the supporting cast, and has had a higher level of competiton. It's by far the most remarkable freshman year we've ever had here.

Ben Beran played well, a lot of confidence, talking trash to them because they didn't like being knocked around by Ben and Mike. We could use a lot of that next year.

Casey, when he's aggressive, he's a good player, but when he's passive he's just trying not to make mistakes.

Burns hit a lot of shots he doesn't normally hit, I thought our guys did a good job on him.

We need games called like this one, if they call them tight we only have Ben and Mike inside.

I don't look at the numbers too much in terms of losses, you have to look at the individuals you finish the season with, with class. I walk away from this feeling very good, we won eight Division I games, and you wonder if we had any business winning any of those games. I always feel like we have a chance to win games. I'm real pleased, next year we'll expect to win more, we have good redshirt freshmen coming in. I'm real pleased with how we finished this year.

Next year we'll have depth that we'll desperately need.

I know I'm not a great interview when we lose but you (Steve) handle me very well.
I can't wait for Midnight Madness, October, 2006. Go Rabbits!

Re: Cal State Fullerton round II

Takes a big man to admit he isn't a good interview when they lose. Midnight Madness next year is going to be awesome. Hopefully, Coach will know more about his roster in the near future so he can plan for next year. I'm looking forward to having athletic big guys next year (not complaining about Ben and Mo but I think they are better power forwards). I'm gonna say the same thing now that I did at the beginning of this last year, we are going to have a very athletic team.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
