    Re: Thursday night rubik's cube

This would be Centenary's 6th straight loss.

Also Western Illinois has only won 3 in there last 12: @ Centenary (see above), @ UMKC (2-12) and home vs. SDSU (need I mention the streak?)

    Will it continue?

I believe so. I think it's the PG, Jonathan Jones who is the underclassman. And I'm sure Benson, the big guy who had 8 blocks against the Jacks is not a senior.

anyone able to update the standings to see what that does for us? Either way I would love us to get that last game of the year and snap that darn confrence road strech. Would it not be perfect to win the last one heading in to the summit tourny and also just the confidence boost for next year by already having that monkey off thier backs.

What happened Tuesday? I don't even recall now because this is a very, very good night for the men.

A win yet would still be very good for morale instead of possibly "backing into" the tourney.

HUGE... This is a really good night for Jacks...

                          here is Summit tiebreaker:

                          Tiebreaker Procedures
                          A. Tiebreaker procedures shall be used ONLY to determine seeds for the tournament. Regular season standings shall stand.
                          B. To determine seeds any ties shall be broken from the top of the standings to the bottom, and shall utilize the following procedure:

                          1. Head-to-head competition
                          2. Comparison of each tied teams' record against the team occupying the highest position in the standings, continuing down through the standings until a team gains the advantage, thereby drawing the higher seed. This process continues until seeding is complete.
                          3. Best RPI between the tied teams after regular season is complete using the Collegiate Basketball News rankings.
                          C. In the event of a tie involving more than two teams, the tie breaking process will be used until one team is removed from the deadlock. Once that team is removed from the tie, the remaining ties are broken by head-to-head competition. The procedure will continue in order, always reverting back to head-to-head competition to break remaining ties.

Number two is a big deal. Jacks and Centenary have beaten Oakland, but IPFW has beaten ORU. If Jacks beat ORU they're in and then Centenary game would be for a higher seed. Jacks can still get in by beating Centenary or if WIU loses once more because WIU has not beaten either ORU or Oakland.
Point is the point of entry into Sioux Falls got multiple avenues tonight, and the chance for a decent seed also got a lot better, too.

                          Go Jacks!!! Thanks ROOS.

                            Re: Thursday night rubik's cube

If it comes down to tie breaker, Centenary has it if SUU if above IPFW in final standings. If SUU is above then Centenary needs to beat NDSU. Otherwise SDSU is in.

Best bet without running through all scenarios is SUU beating the Gents on Saturday. SUU is pretty good at home and the Gents are sliding.

Then it's just a matter of our buddies up north beating the Gents next Thursday and then the Saturday game will not be a make or break game. The Gents would have 12 losses going into the game and the most the Jacks can end up with is 11.
