I don't disagree with that. That doesn't change the fact that this team doesn't step on the court ready to beat the team they are playing every time regardless of the venue. Nagy has called them out enough and they haven't stepped up.

Satisfaction with progress is relative. 0-16 on the road in the Summit league is fact.

I honestly believe that the Jacks will be where the Bison are this year. We have some outstanding Juniorx, excellent Sophomore and some supporting freshmen. That combination will put the Jacks in contention for a conference championship next year. I am not giving up on this year - Jacks win at Centenary, make the Summit League and someone better put their A game against us or we will beat them.

        I like this team

I think they are in without a win at Centenary. That being said if they somehow don't make it without winning at Centenary I have to think they don't deserve it because they couldn't figure how to win just one on the road. That's not a knock on this team, but if might be a good thing if that happened......it would likely make them come back next year with a vengeance.

We play without one of our better shooters, defenders, and rebounders against the best team in the league, at their court, and on senior night. Really don't think the win was in the cards for tonights game. Third game will be different.

They can win at ORU. Keep the faith.

For some reason ORU is not the giant killer they were last year so I agree we got a chance.

As far as the NDSU game, I really dont know how you can get a bunch of guys up emotionally. This was a game that NDSU wanted very badly after losing a squeaker to SUU. They were not about to have a repeat of that game.

Woodsides is very talented. This is his last home game, and the other seniors are going out too, but with a great record at home. So that add adrendalin too.

Then add the crowd, I could hear the students on the radio. I also listened to SUU-SDSU women on the radio, and the student section could not be heard, or at least not like the NDSU crowd tonight. The right frame of mind just was not there tonight for the Jacks.

Didn't get to watch the game tonight, but though a 20 point loss is disapointing I look at it different... They didn't have one of there true 3 point threats, they were on the road against the best team in the league after they lost, it was there senior night, and they shot lights out.... NDSU is a good senior led team...

Man. The Bison just went all "Lady Jacks" on us to start the second half.

Glad we're only seeing Woodside (maybe) one more time.

BTW: I don't think we'll be like this year's Bison next year, because we've got a much more balanced talent base. We're not heavy on any particular class. Also because so much of what they do hinges on Woodside. We don't have any player that's going to light up another team for 60 points--and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Do you guys realize that Winkleman moved into sole possesion of #2 all-time school points scored at NDSU last night? He'd lead SDSU in points and is .1 repounds per game behind Kai. Obviously, Woodside is spectacular but even when he scored only 7 points a few weeks ago at Western Illinois, the other stars (mainly Winks) picked up the slack and we won by 9. This isn't a one man show.

Competely agree...it's actually a 3-4 man show, IMO.

                          Problem is....They're all SENIORS.

I agree with MD in one of his previous posts, I would love to see another NDSU/SDSU matchup in SF. I'm just not sure at this point that SDSU is the team that deserves to keep NDSU and it's "Fab Four" out of the dance if that were to happen.

Don't get me wrong, if it happens I'll be one of the first out on the court, but on the same token, I will feel a bit of "what if" in regards to what NDSU might be able to do in the dance if they are able to make it.

                          Go Jacks!!
                          SDSU...Passionate, Relentless, Champions.

Some of us on this board have a sense that once the senior class at NDSU is gone, the Bison will not be the same. I myself am not so sure, as a number of guys sitting and have been sitting for a season or two will be given an opportunity to hone their skills. These guys might be awfully good players. This is the part that concerns me. To really evaluate the Bison future, a person needs to watch practice for about three weeks in a row, and see how some of the bench people operate. Whether they will matchup with the more experience Jack team next year remains to be seen. I am hoping SDSU will be dominating, but its not a given at this point in time.

Some? Losing four seniors that started for four years including the #1, #2, and likely #7 scorers in school history will make this team very different next year. I don't think we'll see another class anything like this one ever again. Four seniors, all with a red shirt year, all starting four years. You don't see that very often in college basketball.

The team will be very different next year, but there is still a lot of talent coming back. Although not starting, alot of the underclassmen have put in a lot of meaningful minutes in big games. I think playing behind Woodside, Winks, Nelson, and Moorman will actually help our younger players as they step in to more important roles next year. We'll just reload.

The experience advantage definately will head south next year though in this rivalry.

You may be right Nidaros, but I would just point out that outside of the four seniors, NDSU had 25 points (our of their 96) from sophomore Tviet and the rest of the squad. Next year's NDSU team will in no way be anywhere near the team they have this year IMHO. They may develop (and we don't know who they have coming in) and be competitive, but they won't dominate like this year. OTOH, we have everybody who scored last night, back, along with Sargent's game.

P.S. Agree with the NDSU poster...Winkelman is a close #2 to Woodside in value to the Bison. Both are solid.
