Samaritan's Feet reminder. As you head up to Brookings tonight or tomorrow night, stop before you leave home or stop and buy a new pair of shoes, size 3-9 to drop off in the collection bin in Frost Arena.
It would probably only take 10 minutes and about $10 - $12 to stop at the WalMart in Brookings on your way into town. This can't be too much trouble to provide a descent pair of shoes that will really help some child in Haiti.

Good post JG!! I hope everyone at the game tonight decides that buying a pair of $15 shoes for a young child isn't too much to ask!!
Our economy may be hurting, but it could be much, much worse...just ask the families these shoes are going to.
Saw Filbert and Snookums breathing in that fine Frost Arena air this morning. FILBERT in da House...will you be there?
Yup, got the whole $0.25 tour...will post pics of some of the new construction on campus in a little bit. Snookums got to eat in the Student Union. She had wanted to. I'm not sure why.
And oh, yeah, we picked up a pair of shoes at Wal-Mart to donate . . .

Thanks for posting the pictures Filbert. I am excited to see the progress. About the Student Union food - I hope she went downstairs and had Bene's Pizza. I used to live on that stuff. Its great, terrible for you (you can actually feel your arteries plugging because of the grease), but great.
"All I know is what I read on the message boards."
"Oh, well, there's your problem, then."
Filbert: Tell me she didn't drink the Aramark "coffee".
I thought about bringing a truth in advertising lawsuit against Aramark based on the near total dissimilarity between that stuff and real coffee, but decided it would be easier to just stop drinking it.

BTW, ticket rep on Sports Radio said all the bleacher sections will be pulled out tonight.
I think SDSU needs to do a better job promoting these games to the students. I talked to 4 or 5 kids today and asked them if they were going to the game tonight and all of them responded with "What game?" When I said we were playing NDSU in basketball they all said that they wanted to go. I think if these games were to be promoted in the dorms and around campus heavily, you would see a lot more students at the games.

I thought the reason students were not coming to games was:
"The men's team is a joke and everyone thinks so"
Can't remember who posted that the other day??
IMO...The students that WANT to be there will be there.

Any of that new construction dedicated to a permanent shrine for a certain trophy won on the gridiron? Tell us you stopped and paid proper respects to The Marker

I may have heard a rumor it will be sitting out for all Bison/Jackrabbit fans to see and pay proper respects!!!!! I might kiss it to be quite honest.

Go Jacks!! Beat the Bison!!
Haha, well played. I still want to go though. I have a feeling the atmosphere is going to be pretty good tonight and tomorrow, but I think it could be a lot better. Old school Frost.
And to whoever said that the students that want to be there will be there: that's very true, but if you could get other students there that haven't experienced it yet you can win those students over and they will be in the stands the next 3 years.
Just my 0.02$

Good luck tonight against the Bison. A win tonight would go a long way in securing a post season spot in the tournament.
We are going to try and shock you yet this year. We are going to organize a contingent of 'Yote fans and when you play in the Summit tournament in SF, we are going to back you.
Mind you, we aren't going soft, just want you to be supported in our home state. We will earnestly cheer for the Jacks. And we'll be wearing red so you know who it is.
