    Re: NDSU Friday Night

The last few posts have got me wanting to come to Brookings, especially for the revenge game against Oakland. Jim's Tap was my second home in Brookings, uhhhh I meant the library, Always had some good SDSU Dairy cheese to go with my wine.

You can always get one more in before they do last call.

I think BTown is on track with the Backpackers as well. We have to stop this though, I feel like I need to get in my car and head up for the weekend with all this talk, but there is no way I can pull that off.

Man we are off topic. GO JACKS! Beat the Bison!
I might have to try one of these Brooklyn Hookers you keep talking about, I might make a stop in the 9 just for that.

I used to like O'Hares, but a few years ago they put in tile floors and now if there are 10 people in there it's so loud you can't hear yourself think.
        Holy nutmeg!

Sturgis Jeff, way back the only time there was wine in Jim's tap they spelled it whine and it only surfaced when they were switching an empty keg for a full one.

Back in the middle 70's when I went there they had wine, cheap wine but they had wine. and we whined the next morning from the headache.

I was there in the same time frame. I remember when they put in the wine kegs. Man, there used to be a lot of wine left in the bathrooms. The stuff was awful, but cheap.

It's a great shot! KUlawjack doesn't really like them. You do a shot of velvet, then a shot of pickle juice!
And you wonder why he doesn't like it. I'm not a drinker but any time you follow anything with a shot of pickle juice, it's not good.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Your second home? It was almost my first...lol I lived above Brost's for two years... My cat was notorious for escaping out the back window walking across the roof and getting caught in the beer garden of Jim's...

I will never forget sitting out back by the fire pit and having my own cat walk up to me...

That was the perfect apartment... walking distance of everything downtown. (does anyone else hear the Memories song playing in the background.... )

Alright...Alright...I love not remembering the "night before" in Brookings as much as the rest of you, but back to the NDSU game...

My homer pick....Sargent hits a last second 3 to win by a point...81-80!!! And the 4000+ at Frost goes crazy and all head downtown to drink like we're 21 again!!!

                        Go Jacks!!
                        SDSU...Passionate, Relentless, Champions.

This post reminds me sooooo much of the opening scene of Porky's. I guess that's one of the things that make "homer picks" so much fun...

Win or lose (I'm going with the win), it will be a good game. No prediction on a score because it is going to be close the entire way.

Where are the mens basketball team in the standings in the Summit League? And what does it take to get the invite to post season play?

Regardless, best wishes on your remaining schedule. It would be nice to have Sioux Falls filled with SDSU fans for the tournament. Best wishes.
