Re: 2011 recruits
As BTown mentioned on the 2010 thread.
Nick Wuebker from Iowa is getting looks from Nagy and staff. Ranked 22nd in Iowa. Pretty sure he was at the game Saturday night.

Re: 2011 recruits
While I agree that it would be awesome to get a true 5, there are 181 DI schools and about 15-20 quality big men each recruiting year. Add another 50 or so projects, and over half DI schools would love a big guy but in reality aren't getting one.
Keith Benson probably falls into that project category. Redshirted, and his freshman year and played 13 minutes per game. Last season he averaged about 14 points 8 rebounds. This will likely be the last year we face him, as a Junior. There's no doubt he's the best center in the league, but personally, I think he gets over-hyped due to his supposed NBA potential.

How are you going to stop the likes of Keith Bensen unless you have some big guy like him that can move and not get tired. Most of guys over 6'9 that SDSU has had are projects, but we need one who can hit the ground running. Maybe this Tuttle guy can do that. I hope we get him.

If we want to compete, athletic length is exactly what we need.
I would like to see a true 5 in the 2011 class, but so does every other school. Good ones are rare & highly sought after.
