I still can't believe it.

I seriously want to punch a wall....it seems every game the Jacks miss so many easy layups....maybe it happens to every team, I don't know, but it sure seems like it happens to the Jacks a lot....I'm just dumbfounded every time I see someone miss a layup....

tough loss..... thats about all you can say.... its tough without Dale in there and man Kai's layup just seemed like it didn't want to go in.... It looked almost as he wanted to dunk it but was afraid time would run out if he did and it rolled out.... will have to step up against SUU....

I was just going to ask someone who saw it if he should've dunked it or what was the deal.

Looks like we are what we are. Young and inconsistent . It's the same 1 step forward, 1 step backwards routine we've seen the last 5 years. Good fight tonight. Hopefully we can move forward and beat SUU.

I really think we missed Dale's energy in the second half. Hope he's ready to go for Sat. night.

From what Steve said, heavy wrap and no shoe, I would guess he is pretty iffy at this point.

Kai had 15 rebounds, pretty impressive game.

I'd say Kai helped keep us in the game with his rebounds.....

Kai's final shot: need to get more scoring in the game not just at end, great on the boards but AC needs to pick that up

My summary of Nagy's comments:

would rather feel a loss like this
kids poured their hearts out
not close defensively where we want to be.
not good rotating on the drive
we were good defensively the last 4 minutes of the game.
can't believe how many bad shots we took in the 2nd half
bad defense / good offense 1st half, opposite 2nd half
kai really disappointed about final bucket
need more than 2 points out of Kai, but great on the glass
AC needs to rebound more as well
clint & garret both with 22 - both have been shooting great, kai needs to get there as well
AC didn't really have a great BB game despite 15 points, not good D and needs to rebound more
Hurts to lose dale tonight, no idea on how bad the sprain is but likely won't play Sat.

I know some want to get on Nagy for always harping on the lack of D, but it isn't said much better than "can't give up 50% to a 39% team."

Just keep fighting. That's the most important thing. Hang together and keep fighting. Can't pin this on one last shot, especially after it was off a rebound from a guy who'd already had a bazillion rebounds. Double-digit rebounding in D-1 is harder than 25-point scoring on most nights.

I went out to the car to listen to last two minutes despite the cold. I though tonight would be the night we would hit a buzzer beater to win on the road! almost happened! the guys are really playing hard these days and It hurts to see them play so hard but lose another close one!

If you extrapolate last years team out to next year, I think we'll be there. Real progress and real effort.

Dang. A buzzer beater away. The Jacks are just about there, so close to turning the corner. They can't let up one bit on Saturday. They're going to have to step it up and win one on the road if they want to make the conference tournament in Sioux Falls.
