  • Oakland (Part1) Game Thread...

I noticed the game is listed as starting at 4:00 pm EST(3:00 CST). on GoJacks.com, but at the bottom of SDSUFan.com it has 5:00 pm CST.

I'm heading ot Omaha for a little New Year's Celebration and I'm hoping GoJacks.com has it correct, so I can listen to the game on the way down!!

    Anyone...Anyone??

    Go Jacks!!

Pretty sure the game starts at 4 pm eastern so the 3pm central on gojacks is correct. The Summit League site has it beginning coverage at 2:55 central. Either way barring sliding into a ditch after last nights snow and todays blowing snow this fan and his family will be at the game at the O'Rena at Oakland U. to watch the Jacks pull out a four point victory.

This is by no means a must win. It's important to play a solid game though and win of these two games this week.

However a win would be huge, not just because Oakland is in the level of the Summit. With a W, Jacks would have 3 W's in last 4 games, 2-1 in conference, 1st Summit road win ever and have a 2 game road win streak after losing 16 in a row.

A win against Oakland would be hugh. Oakland missing Nelson hurts but they still should be there better team at home. I think the IPFW game is really needed though. Go on the road and beat at team that should finish around us in the standings at the end of the year. If SDSU wins @ Oakland, that would make the other teams look at SDSU's men in another light the rest of this season.

              Ummm. Uhhhh.

You are right. These two games are huge. Don't know if we need to send any message to the conference. It might be better to say that two wins would do wonders for our team and their confidence. In my mind, that would be more important than any message we send to other teams.

They have a great opportunity today. I hope they take advantage of it. Can't wait to listen.

              Good luck Jacks!

If this is to me, I don't think we need to send a message but I think most teams look at SDSU and Centenary as the bottom feeders. A conference road will would probably change that. You never know what can happen with injuries and other things so getting wins whenever you can is alway important.

Just responded to your post. We've earned the spot at the bottom of the conference until we prove that isn't where we belong. This team has the talent to move up and has to make it happen.

Road wins are huge, no doubt about it!

It won't come in on my computer either.
I can't get it on the radio either.
What is the next best way to keep tabs? Argus Leader, here or somewhere else?
                            Thanks!
