Thanks, I kept em from the rest of the family, hey, but who didn't have tears of joy in their eyes last night after that game. Cmon admit it, There are exceptions (unwritten ones) on the man card for things like this when a South Dakota State who? gets a big win over a big boy team and the South Dakota State who? women are ranked with the big girls teams. You know that the people around the country are looking at State and asking Who are they? when they see South Dakota State. That will end this year. They will soon say. "Oh, South Dakota State, the Jackrabbits are good."

I got a text late last night from a buddy of mine who was there. He said it was one of his favorite SDSU experiences. The Iowa State crowd didn't know what to think. Big win for the Jacks!

I am sooooooooooo happy for them!!!!!!!!!!!! The team played like the team I knew they could be, and are! We were at the game and as small as our crowd was, we were the loudest in the place! Way to go everybody!! Guys, I am so proud of you. You were in their face, you changed things when they needed to be changed, you were helping each other out, looking for the open man, going after every loose ball, supporting each other, and playing with the heart and soul of a WINNER!!!!!! It was a 5 hour ride home and the smiles never came off of Garretts' and Griffans' faces! It will be a Very Merry Christmas at our house for sure!! Clint, Kai, Anthony, Mike, Mark, McKenzie, Dale and Josh, Great Game Guys! You have what it takes to WIN more like these. Keep that CONFIDENCE and that TEAM mentality! Keep it in your heads that, WE CAN DO THIS, and do it. I am so proud of all of you. KEEP IT UP!! To everyone in Jackrabbit Country, from out house to yours, wishing all of you a Very Merry Christmas and all the BEST in the New Year!

Not sure, the paper doesn't come out until the afternoon and the website isn't updated regularly. But the picture from the Argus and the one jacks_nl posted is the same as the one in the Register.

No, I think we also received money for playing in the 2 away games (in the US) during the Cancun Challenge (Drake and Virginia Commonwealth). Even though those two games were not played in Cancun, they were still considered part of the Challenge and we received money for them.

I believe the Virginia Commonwealth and Drake games were guarantee games too . . . at least, TV reported that through the four games of the Cancun Challenge (VCU, Drake, and the two in Cancun) the men's program showed a small profit after travel expenses.

No I was not. In fact I was out of state at the time. How did Arlington-Howard match come out? I know this is thread drift, but just curious as I have not followed any high school games this year.

Whats interesting in the article is the mention by Nagy that McDermott will not be scheduling us in the future. Way back in the days of Jim Thorson, Nagy and McDermott where both very young opposing assistants, Nagy at SDSU and McDermott at UND. So they have been battling each other in terms of coaching for a long time.
Greg McDermott is a classy guy, and a great coach, I hope the Cyclones don't give up on him.
