Keep your Cyclone friends away from sharp objects for a while.

My favorite is the post about ISU leading the Cy-Rabbit series 3-2. (For you non-Iowans, the Cy-Hawk series is the name for the Iowa-Iowa State rivalry in all sports.) I think our other win was in Soccer, right?

If we played them in women's basketball, the Cy-Rabbit series would be tied.

Reading that stuff over there does remind me of the way the tone of things was heading over here the last week. A night like this just should give everyone pause to realize that things are moving in the right direction and patience is the so important at this point. Lets all try to maintain our civility toward our teams, our players and coaches and to each other. Merry Christmas to all and one damn fine new year coming our way!

A night like this just should give everyone pause to realize that things are moving in the right direction and patience is the so important at this point. Excellent point. I'm reading junk on the ISU Meltdown thread that could have been (and has been) written on the SDSUFans.com message board prior to 7:00 p.m tonight. I suppose one could read that on just about any fan message board from time to time.

Picked up this post on the ISU meltdown...how many posters on this board have complained about not guarding the three? Here it is:

The Jackrabbits did exactly what they had to to stop us: guard the three. They did exactly what they had to to beat us: go inside. They switched around a lot, and cycled their players in to keep them fresh. I saw a pretty good team beat us tonight. Granted, we should win these games, because our players are better, faster, bigger, etc. Eik was gassed tonight, watched him panting as he came out of the game. Lucca was barely missing, and Brackins had a lid on the basket again.


And in another post: at least some Cy fans want to trade players with us:

We just don't have the talent we'd like to think we do. If we could switch point guards with Drake or SDSU, ISU would have won those games.

Kinda interesting to "see" the Jackrabbits through the eyes of our opponents.

But they don't know how to START winning.

All these guys played for winning teams in high school. Nagy had how many consecutive 20 win seasons? And no season with a losing record until the transition (if memory serves).

Perhaps, as a result of this game and the game against Cal State-Bakersfield, the Jacks have figured out how to =start= winning.
