CANCUN, Mexico - On the mornings of their respective departures, members of the South Dakota State basketball teams headed out to the pool area - a maze of winding water, tunnels, bridges and thatched-roof huts - at the Moon Palace Resort to soak up a few more rays.
Clearly, the Jackrabbits savored their journey to Mexico.
"I loved it," junior guard Garrett Callahan said with a smile. "It was a lot of good teams here, the girls played and that was kind of cool watching them, and this place is awesome - I don't want to go home. I guess I've got to."

"The tournament's really well run," Jacks men's coach Scott Nagy said. "They've done a good job making sure we know where stuff is at and they're taking good care of us, and it's been a good tournament. I'd recommend it to anybody."
SDSU junior forward Kai Williams was one of five players named to the all-tournament team at the inaugural Cancun Challenge late Sunday night. The 6-foot-6 Canadian totaled 36 points and 22 rebounds in two games and was the only player not from one of the tournament finalists - Vanderbilt and VCU - to be honored.
