  • Centenary Game Thread

We should be able to start the conference schedule out with a huge win.

    Rank School (first-place votes), Pts.
    1. Oral Roberts (13), 399
    2. North Dakota State (6), 394
    3. Oakland (10), 391
    4. IUPUI (1), 315
    5. IPFW, 225
    6. UMKC, 199
    7. Southern Utah, 194
    8. South Dakota State, 154
    9. Western Illinois, 115
    10. Centenary, 64

    I'm thinking a 25 point victory!

I am pretty sure they will play a good game, they seem happy and ready to get back to Brookings for the next game.

Nidaros, do you mean Baton Rouge, or Shreveport?

OK, I stand corrected--they HAVE played all those games in Baton Rouge.

          Weird.

They don't play their first game in the Gold Dome until January 8th. Very weird.

I think they were doing some remodeling in the Gold Dome this year, but I could be wrong.

Here is the link to the offical website and more specifically, the Schedule/Results. LSU has apparently had a tourney that has ran over a period of a couple weeks, but hard to figure out. Blue might be right about the refurbishing of the dome as I recall someone posting a link to that announcement earlier this summer.

Also the media guide shows a number of their players from last year returning. We may have to really work for this win in our house.

We should be able to beat the last ranked team in the conference at home. Especially with over 4,000 people packed in the Frost.

One thing to be worried about would be the hangover, hopefully more figurative than literal, from the Cancun trip. There is a decent gap between games, so hopefully the blahs from leaving 80 degrees and coming back to 25 degrees are gone.

                    Re: Centenary Game Thread

The same could be said for Centenary. They are leaving the warm climates of Louisiana for South Dakota and North Dakota without the few days to adjust that our guys will (Plus Kai's from Canada, he's probably still wearing shorts around).

I'm guessing they'll get off the plane to temps 40-50 degrees lower than when they got on. That one really bites. I have done the same in reverse and it sucks the life out of you.

                          I'm thinking a 25 point victory!
For now, I'm just going to hope for a win. Any win. 25 point, 1 point, whatever it takes. One night, one win and something to build on is all I am hoping for.

                            I'll take 1 point wins, 4 points, 8, 20, as long as they're wins.

                            Just win baby.
