    I completely agree!

I caught the post game interview with Moss. Sounds like he got the message of needing to play better D. He sounded proud of his effort (both games) against the other teams top scorer's.

I agree they played hard and they played well. 3-2 in Cancun is not a bad weekend for the SDSU basketball programs.

Hope to see a good crowd for the conference games this week.

Good link, Jack4Life. I particularly liked the following point made in the report on the game:

Led by Callahan, the Jackrabbits answered every threat. Callahan was 3 of 3 from the field and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line in the final 5:32. South Dakota State also hit 9 of 12 free throws in the last 1:54.

Now, take the following quote from Central Florida's coach, Kirk Speraw, reported in Terry V's Argus Leader article about 66-64 Jackrabbit loss to Speraw's team yesterday:

"They deserved to win the game," said UCF coach Kirk Speraw, a Sioux City native. "They played better than we did, they executed better than we did and they've just got to figure out and believe in themselves that they can win games."

It's been a while since we answered every threat made by a decent ball club. I continue to be optimistic about this team and think that perhaps they figured it out against Central Arkansas, believed in themselves, and won the game.

Jacks fought hard and made shots. This should be a good confidence builder. Centenary's next. Doubleheader Thursday night. Should be fun. Let's have a good crowd to start the Summit League schedule.
              Holy nutmeg!

Agreed, I hope there is a ton of people there, it's a doubleheader with both games very winnable. Stick around and lets do it all again on Saturday

I may be bold and immature in making this statement. I felt that we got very good leadership from our two juniors, Kai Williams and Garrett Callahan yesterday in the UCA game and it's starting to rub off on the rest of the team. I think we need to hang with these guys as we could start to show some very positive results. The guys should feel good and should keep on trucking.

Yes I agree show me how you can pack that place, I can't wait to see a packed gym, I have been told of how it used to be in the div 2 days, hoping this win helps carry on the hype to the next game.

The doubleheaders last year were pretty well attended. I'm expecting it to continue this year.

Yes they were, and now I see that all conference games will be double headers even Thursdays games so that will be great , (just lost an argument with my husband about Thursday's game thats how I know ) LOL

Hopefully the bet wasn't too steep .

I wasn't aware of the switch to a Thursday doubleheader either. I like the idea but its still tough to trek to Brookings when you have school age children. Wife and I might have to get a babysitter or two during the season.

I don't believe every conference Thursday are double headers like they are this weekend. From looking at the schedule...it looks like this is the only one.

From here on out it takes on this format:

                              Thursday: Men's Game
                              Saturday: Men/Women Doubleheader
                              Monday Women's Game

This is the format for all conference games after this week except the games around the New Year holiday.

No so you see I was half right then

I have the double headers in Jan as THE 10TH IUPUI comes to Frost
AND THE 31ST. OAKLAND comes to Frost

February 14th .UMKC comes to Frost double header.
