A game we should not have lost. How many times have we said that during the transition? Unfortunately you don't play the games to lose. It does not matter if the losses are close or blowouts. You play to win the game.
A bunch of close losses is not a sign of progress. In most instances the other team has done just what they need to win. Its like Coach says, the other teams seem to want to win more than his does. I don't know how you fix that. We are definitely talented enough to win these games. I can't understand it and it doesn't seem like Coach Nagy is figuring it out either. Damn.

_uck Stu, thats another thread. Kai has 16 pts, 11 rebounds...a week ago everyone was bitching about him, hell we had 21 offensive rebounds. I see (hear) a better team right now. Plus 6 for turnovers, we just couldnt cash in the open shots.
Nah... that was a good effort. Remember we get Griffan Callahan after the holiday break. One more gritty player might be enough to push us over the top in these kinds of games. Plus, I'd argue that UCF is better than several teams in the Summit League.
I know there was only .3 seconds left at the end when they were shooting FTs but the last FT they shot, they missed and then got the offensive rebound. I just don't know how that happens. Seems to happen to this team all the time.
I agree. Great effort. That doesn't mean we can't be down for now. We lost a game that we should have won. The players are upset - we are upset. I am over it now, and I hope to see us play with this intensity again tomorrow.
UCF - The Knights underachieved for their standards last season, as they stumbled to just a 16-15 finish under veteran head coach Kirk Speraw. Just two starters are welcomed back, so UCF will count on several new faces to make an impact in 2008-09.

The effort is there but the belief in themselves isn't there yet. I know these guys can do it. I wasn't sure at the start of the year but when they give the effort they did tonight its clear that they have the talent. Being undersized really hurts. We wear out and I know that is contributing to these lost leads late in games. I don't see the size issue going away so we have to overcome it. That is up to the coaches.
We have to keep supporting these guys and the coaches. That doesn't mean we can't be critical. We all want these guys to win.
We have DI players and Nagy can coach no matter what the level. We have to shoot better. No team is going to win shooting 30%. Lets get a win tomorrow.

Come on you just heard us play one heck of a game against a heck of a team....yeah, we lost but I heard alot more today than I have seen this year.
Easy on the "against a heck of a team" portion of that statement. UCF has a couple of impressive wins, but they are a flawed team. I'm with you on the effort by our team portion though.
We should have won this game. Dagnabbit!
