Dont know what to say about the game. For the most part we competed. Just not that good. If we play our best and avoid any more injuries we will win a few.

If Kai gets his 14-15 points a game which he should be averaging this would have been a game with in 5 points. I dont mean to pick on Kai I think he is looking to find his place on the team this year and if i remember last year he started slow and got better as the year went on. Good showing for Clint and Garrett. Not just Kai but a few others could have gotten a few more points to help out. Its going to be a long season if we are relying on 3 players for the majority of our scoring.

Agreed, Injuries are hurting this team again. Having a year with out losing players due to injury would be nice. We have Davis and a healty Cassady and excuses excuses but its hard to think what this team could have been with out players quiting or transfering or getting injured. I think there was enough to see what is promising though. quaility play from Garrett and Clint will be vitale for confrence. The Officals sure didnt help this game. As if they ever do though.

Agreed. I think fatigue just set in as the game went on, especially with the constant pressure from VCU.

Scott just said to Steve that we should of won this basketball game..."I dont care what anybody says...we should of won this basketball game"...he sounds frustrated with them for not getting over the hump. Wants kids to get over the feeling of walking into the gym and hoping they can hang instead of knowing they can win.

Feels good about Palarca...threw him in after not playing for 5 weeks...Dale just needs to get better on defense.

Scott says the players all know they should of won this basketball game and it is frustrating to the players in the lockerroom right now.

The key, these guys aren't going to let down this year and we can't let down as fans. I can tell they have more confidence this year they just need to realize their potential. Much better intensity this game. I hope they spend time together tomorrow like a family would. We need these guys to want to be there for each other. I feel pretty good despite the collapse at the end.

Agree completely. It's appears different this year. I think if they keep playing with that intensity, the fans will come back to them. Jack fans are smart. They expect, and appreciate hard play. We might be undersized and not very deep in talent, but the playing field is level as far as hustle. I don't care who we play.

The team did hang in there for most of the game. A couple of mental lapses just started a land slide.

We always try to be positive and point out the good things no matter the outcome of the games the last few years but it seems start of this year we are a little undermaned from injuries and such. However with the effort they gave this game for the the most part a few TO and extra FT and the game could have had a much different turn out. They are learning that the effort has to be there for a full 40 minutes agame, other teams we play will not give us any let downs so we have to raise our game to get where Nagy knows this team should be.

The outside shooting is there. You watch Clint and Garrett for the last couple of games and teams are going to have to worry about the 3. I think the teams State has played so far have really focused on Kai and are really trying to keep a man on him. With Clint and Garrett shooting the 3, Kai should start seeing some gaps to drive the lane. Last year I agree that Kai got more aggressive as the year went on so we should see him driving more. Just need to cut those turnovers down. Don't try the spin move when dribbling up against the press and don't pick the ball up in back spots on the court.

A couple of things I have noticed in the little I have watched this years team compared to the past 2 years.... This team seems to be athletic enough and plays hard enough to compete, they play a lot harder too, the 2 things that really hurt them is depth and size, hopefully when Griffin is eligible and Cassaday is 100% that should help with both... Callahan and Sargent are good shooters and are being helped out a lot by not having to burden the duty of the point, they can get open and get there shots. I like this years offense better, it seems like there is more penetration and kick outs.... A couple of things that I think they need to work on is. Kai has to start dropping shots... And Cordova has to finish some of his shots.... He has really impressed me, with his foot work and positioning but it seems like he just can't get them to drop. I really think Cassaday will help when he is 100% also.....

I didn't see much of the game because the video was almost unusable for my connection, but when I did see the video early on I noticed that Kai shot a few 3-ptrs early and got himself off to a bad start again. I know that Kair is certainly able to knock down that shot, but I can't help thinking that perhaps they need to really try to do some things to get him some other looks. Or perhaps he needs to be determined to take the ball to the hoop early in games and get a better look or if nothing else get to the line.

I know he will be coming on and will be a big part of this team. He's too talented not to, I just can't help wondering if he's settling for the outside jump shot a little too much right now.

Nagy said in post-game that he isn't happy with Moss's defense and he was looking to get his attention. I'm guessing he plays alot more next game.
