All 5 starters from last year are back and they are picked # 3 in the WAC. They play us Friday and Nebraska on Sunday afternoon.

Should be a good game. The Jacks would have won that game if San Jose State didn't hit a three at the buzzer to force overtime. They have all five starters back from that game and we have four. We also have the homecourt advantage (although we only get about 2,000 a game, SJSU doesn't do much better).

This is the time to come out and support your team. They have a good chance to come out victorious in their first game. Throw away everything that happened leading up to this first game because everyone has a clean slate in their season openers. Not trying to look ahead or anything, but I'd like to think that if we win the first two games, we can go to VCU with some confidence.

I can't make a prediction. I would like to know who is playing first. I think Clint and Michael will be playing but what about Cassaday? He probably won't be in the swing of things anyway but the big body could help with rebounding and defense.
I guess I'm an optimist so I'll go with

I beleive there will be 2600 people at the game on friday!

score: 80-59

First one to 80 wins the game everytime and we don't have the shooting to get to 80 pts, we will have a tough time scoring 68 pts per game.

Clint and Josh have been practicing and appear fine. I think Michael is supposed to start practicing today or tomorrow, so should be available Friday. The team is about as healthy as they've been for awhile.

we played 6 true scholarship players in the preseason game.... (I don't count Casey because hes not a 4 year scholarship guy and was a walk on for the past how many years)

Basically will Palarca and Cassady be able to go? And will Sargent be 100%????

As far as the game I think it will depend on how the game is played... If Callahan and Kai play aggressive and get to the line a bunch we should win.... If Casey shoots all night and misses most of them like the exhibition game it could be a very long night.

If we can't even beat SWMS i'll be shocked if we win over 5 games, when the schedule this year is harder than last years. Can we all agree finally that if we don't make the conference tourny that Nagy is gone. Its been a long D-1 transition with very little to show for it from the mens bball, and the other sports seem to have adjusted just fine.

Not even a real game played and you have completely given up and called for the coach to be canned? Like Rick Pitino said about Boston, "All the negativity in this town sucks!"

Not saying we should turn a blind eye because there are definitely some negative stuff out there but shouldn't we at least let the team play a few games first?

Maybe a few of our fans need to step up. Am I wrong?

For those who can't make the game in person, it's available on the Go Jacks package. For those still mad about the SWMS game, let's hope they use that as the huge kick in the arse that is was and come out with some "us against the world" intensity tonight.
