 I think every player on the team this season is a quality player, and each has shown that at different points throughout the season.  

SF_Rabbit_Fan, I agree with you and my post didn't reflect that.  We do have a bunch of good players and they are good young men!  I'm on record on this board for being positive about these players and it's exciting to see them grow as the season progresses and I feel they will be a much, much better team by the end of the season!  There is a lot of talent there right now!  Heck, Caddy set the freshman scoring record last year at the D-1 level when every team we played knew exactly what was coming at them.  Callahan, Yackley, Casey, and Williams are very good young players that get better eevery game!

You are 100% correct in that it will take retention of all of these players along with solid recruiting to get this program where the coaches want it to be.  My only point on recruiting is that we have a lot more to sell in SDSU with conference affiliation and post-season play just around the corner and that has to help the coaches when they are on the road!

I get tired of hearing about who we lost and dwelling in the past.  Those that have left have their reasons and I wish them all the best.  But the game is about now and I'm there cheering these guys on at every game and will continue to do so!

My apologies to the players for my comments about recruiting which suggest we don't have quality players!  THAT IS NOT WHAT I BELIEVE!  Thanks also to SF_Rabbit_fan for calling me out!

Go Jacks, let's get a win in Minnesota!

IMO1-Keeping every player we currently have on the roster around til next year (except Kleinjan, who is graduating ).

My bad. And as a side note, I was very critical of Jose last year, but his play has improved and has impressed me for the most part this season.

We have to be honest with ourselves and ask why we seem to lose more players than the average college basketball team? Something is going on with the program. Whether that is a problem with the coaches, school or players themselves....we cannot pretend that nothing isn't happening with our program.

You better look into other programs because we are not losing anymore than any other team going through the following;  A guy leaves because of a death in the family, a transfer to hopefully play for his home state, one leaves because he didnt think he really had to go to class, two dismissed because of contended misbehavior off of the court, one wanting to be with his childs mother and one quiting because he thinks he knows more about which way the program should be going...have I left anything out?

Lets get off the same topic we hashed over all last year and the year before, it does no good for anybody, just fuels rumors and stokes fires under those that really dont have a clue.
