Yeah, I was at that game and what I saw from our team made me very nervous about the year. We have definitely played a few better games since then but I am taking nothing for granted. Our guys need to give it their all for 40 minutes against every team we play. That is not easy to do.

Vandals temper bad news with good
Kale won't play; Perry announces transfer

The University of Idaho men's basketball team was dealt another tough blow when it learned this week that center Mike Kale won't play this season. The Vandals' future outlook is brightening, however, with news that former Washington Husky Harvey Perry is transferring to Idaho.

Kale, a junior who has more Division I experience than anyone on Idaho's roster, hasn't played this season because of patellar tendinitis in his knee. He said last week he was optimistic that he would be able to return for Saturday's home game against South Dakota State. Instead, the 6-foot-8, 240-pounder from Henderson, Nev., will undergo surgery. . . . (read more)

Tonight is a good chance to get to 5-9 before Central Florida comes to town. I think the boys are fired up to get a good win streak going and 3 would be a pretty good streak. 8:05 game time. Go Big! Go Blue! Go Jacks!!!

Moscow, Idaho, along with the northern "tip" of the state is in the Pacific Time Zone. The rest of the state, including locales such as Boise, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello, observe Mountain Time.

Sounds like Mark Engen has a stress fracture in his foot . . . he's kind-of available for tonight but will need to go into a boot for 3 weeks or so when they get back to Brookings, according to Nagy's pre-game interview.

Idaho's point guard (gave us some trouble last time) has quit the team. That helps.

Geez. The Engen injury creates more size problems. Anyone on the board got some got some height and eligibility?
