  • WIU in Brookings

Does anyone know if there are any motel rooms available in Brookings on Saturday night?

The days inn had some left on Wednesday. I have a room but may be cancelling. PM me if you can't find one.

Time to turn the page on the IUPUI game.

WIU is the next winnable Summit League game. It all depends on how the coaches and the team approach the game. They can stay wound up tight as a drum and probably get beat, or they can relax a bit and play, and maybe win.

I'm hoping for relax and play. We shall see.

I plan to be there for the first time since we beat UNI before Christmas - Maybe I'm good luck!

I am very excited about tomorrow night. I wish I could leave right now for Btown. With the women playing for the conference lead and a very winnable game for the men, this could be a great night w/ BB alums back and the Pork Classic...Give 'Em Hell, Jacks!!!

Sounds like it might be a little cold and windy, but heck, it is all relative. Bundle up and take warm coats along. See you there.

I checked the road reports, there are white out conditions between here and Breckenridge. Hwy 210 across the Red River Valley can be really miserable in the winter. The pharmacist who was supposed to work today lives several miles out. I live a mile away so I called and told her to stay safe at home and I would work. I hope Summit TV works tonight.

Just for info for out-of-towners...weather isn't that bad in Brookville. Windy, and some light drifting across the roads but nothing that will cause any major road problems. Winds set to subside some starting mid-afternoon, but will still be in the mid-20's according to the forecast. Come help us beat the Westerwinds!!! GO JACKS!!!

Thanks for the update. I am going to watch the first round of ESD wrestling and then head north.

I hope the men can follow the women's lead and play hard for 40 minutes. We need one of the guys to get hot like Macy did early and then to play defense up and down the court. I only wish I could have been there. Summit TV will have to do.

3800 for the women's game, should be at least 500 more for the men's. Can't wait until 5000 is standard. Its not that far away, I promise you that.

22-16. We need to get a cushion here.
