Panther fans don't have much good to say about the Jacks.

We need a win early against a mid-major team to build our confidence. This is a great shot, IMO.

There's no particular reason why any opponent's fans should give our men's basketball program much respect.

Our women's basketball team has earned the respect the get from around the country. The men, to be honest, haven't done anything yet to earn any respect, and in fact have spent a few years earning the lack of respect they now get from opposing teams and fans.

Our men need to start playing like the entire world is against them--because it is. They need to start playing like they need to prove something to the world--because they do.

I hope that our guys develop that kind of hard-nosed, "we're not gonna take it" attitude, come out, and (figuratively) punch some teams right square in the nose.

You gotta earn respect. Time to start.

Well...UWM's fan board doesn't give SDSU any love for its basketball team (sorry!). I was reading their comments about them losing out on Davis, the 6-10 JUCO player out of Iowa...they couldn't believe UWM would lose out to SDSU on a recruit. The Jacks will just have to prove to them that Davis made the right decision.

Should be a good game and a game that SDSU has a chance to win. UWM's guard play is pretty erratic right now. Also, they don't have much size inside. Torre Johnson is the real deal and honestly probably better than anyone we have right now. He's a 6'6" transfer who plays like a poor man's Charles Barkley. Jumps out of the gym and is quick around the hoop. What killed us in years past against UWM was their guard play. They were just too quick for us and wore our guards down early in the games. I know Kai probably has this game on his list as he really struggled last year and didn't even play the second half. I hope he comes out with a chip on his shoulder. If I was an uninterested odds maker, I'd have to give UWM a couple point spread because of the home court, but this is essentially a pick em' for a game.

I'll be there with my oldest daughter and about 8 members of my wife's family (still here from out of town). We'll be yelling as loud as we can. If past games are any indication, I doubt UWM will have more than 1000 people at the game.

This is the type of game we need to win if we're going to turn this program around.

I made it home, time to feed the kids and get ready for the game. I'd like to see a win tonight. Need Kai to score at least 15 and turnovers to be less than 20 to have any chance. I'd like to see us shoot 70% from the line and make at least 3 threes in the first half.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Paige Paulson from Custer plays for the Panthers. His brother, Derek, one of the all time greats in SD High School Basketball was tragically killed in a car accident before his senior year of basketball.

they just broke in..... Ya Paige Paulson is pretty good not sure why he ended up there.... He went to some school in Illinois first then transfered...

Sargent, Callahan, Williams, Bassett and Beran are the starters for the Jacks.
Allan Hanson, Roman Gentry, Paige Paulsen, Tim Flowers, and Torre Johnson starting for the Panthers.
