Our DII history

I'm very proud of SDSU and its DI athletic programs. This is just a fond look back at the past for those who might have forgotten.

When at the DII level we had an excellent and consistent program. SDSU made 24 post-season appearances (I believe thats a record) with a 36 wins and 23 losses. We won the NCC 20 times. Here is the result of our seasons under Coach Nagy while DII:

1995-96 24-5 Scott Nagy NCC Champion, North Central Regional Second Place
1996-97 25-5 Scott Nagy NCC Champion, North Central Regional Champion
1997-98 26-3 Scott Nagy NCC Champion, North Central Regional Second Place
1998-99 17-10 Scott Nagy
1999-00 21-9 Scott Nagy North Central Regional Qualifier
2000-01 22-7 Scott Nagy North Central Regional Qualifier
2001-02 24-6 Scott Nagy NCC Champion, North Central Regional Second Place
2002-03 24-7 Scott Nagy North Central Regional Qualifier
2003-04 27-7 Scott Nagy North Central Regional Qualifier

No other program in the NCC can boast about these kind of results. We were the best.

Re: Our DII history

I realize that 97-98 team didn't win the regional, but they may have been Nagy's best team. They were really good. Northern had a really good team that year as well. Those were two great games.

The 01-02 Regional Championship was a heartbreaker.
