      Re: 2007-08 Schedule

I checked out our non-conference opponents according to the Athletics Annual Report. All have released their schedule except UNI, Minnesota and San Jose State. We were not on Idaho State's schedule and the game against Denver was moved one day earlier. Everything else checks out right.

The conference games should be set in stone, but until the official schedule is released we won't know 100%

              Re: 2007-08 Schedule

Something must be wrong with the schedule because we play NDSU in men's and women's basketball at home on Feb. 23rd at 7:00 for both games....

I heard they are going to push back all the seating in the bottom level of Frost Arena and both games are going to be played simultaneously on the side hoops.

You better get your fan club in line early if you want a good seat for that one!

That would be a hell of a game Can they have a round robin tourney to determine the best team?

Here's a link to Terry's article. Nice schedule.

My opinion: No reason to play BCS teams, unless they offer home and home, except for Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa or Iowa State.

Men play on the 22nd, women on the 23rd per the Jacks Flash newsletter.

my opinion on the schedule (not that it means much.)
Overall Nagy did what he believed was best for his team. He got home games and no big name schools. a schedule like this is hard for a fan like me to look at. I like that pre-season tournament where Kentucky or Ohio State is at. and I like that guarantee game against Illinois but for a young team that has had problems with retaining players a schedule like this is great. The only complaint I have is the fact that they play ND-Mary but no SD schools maybe they tried and it didn't work out but I would love them to play a USF a DWU (other then preseason) or even a NSU.
As far as USD goes ya I would love USD to come to Frost but USD thinks that they deserve either a home and home or a game at the Arena. If USD would agree to a 1-year contract to come to Frost I would support that but transitional teams don't deserve home games against state rivals that they made fun of for transitioning in the first place.

Since I have kind of called you out a few times, Joe, I want you to know that your last post here was very good and well reasoned. Just two thoughts: you can't always get the schools you want (scheduling is a nightmare, especially in transition) because they can't fit in the dates, or they don't want to play you. I believe Scott overwhelmed his team with early schedules (and I think he has said that as well), but I think we have a very good schedule this year.
