SDSU has received a commitment from a man named Grant Wilkinson, 6'9," 305lbs from De Smet high school, class of 2026, to play offensive line. Is this Damon's brother? Get this man a basketball uniform. (This isn't the football board and maybe I shouldn't comment, but at that height and weight, he should play TE.)

there is some, maybe decent, chance, I could be wrong!! but from anything I have ever seen or heard, Grant is not nearly equal to Damon as a basketball player, but I am 90ish percent sure that Damon did actually commit first to play FB for the Jacks and then changed his mind when the BB team came calling

Thanks for the info, LetsGoRabbits. I had another short circuit between the ears, discoDancinRabbit; I correctly wrote 305lbs but my brain thought he weighed 205lbs.
Concerning Shaq, he looked like he could do anything he wanted against IU in the 92 tournament, pushing Matt Nover (who was in the movie "Blue Chips" as Shaq's teammate) and Eric Anderson around as if they were children. That is one of several games where I look back and wonder how IU won. I remember a player (I think for Minnesota) named Peplowski (I don't recall his first name) who at 6'10" 270 pushed guys around on the basketball court. I have no idea how good young Mr. Wilkinson would be but I have a high regard for Mr. Damon Wilkinson.
Mr. Quin Buckner played defensive back for the IU football team and was the quarterback for the IU basketball team. He was very good with talk that he would be an All Big 10 football player but Coach Knight shut it down. He said if Quin played football his junior year, he was off the basketball team. I suppose it is much worse now than it was then, but my brain said if Mr. Grant Wilkinson wanted to play football through the playoffs, he could walk on the basketball team and be in the groove by the last half of the conference season. Football spring practice can be scheduled after the NCAA tournament, if necessary. We can negotiate here; we can let his big brother play tight end before we get both of them for basketball.
