The Summit league hasn't completed the conference schedule; I think this is done as a favor to the schools who still need to schedule games. The conference is waiting so any day is available if a major school wants to play a conference school. South Dakota has completed its out of conference schedule, North Dakota State needs three more games and every other conference school needs at least four more games..., if the information I read is accurate which can be argued. Omaha and South Dakota State need seven and eight games.
As I think of Isaiah 28 where the book is brought to the unlearned and he can't read it, and then it is brought to the learned and he won't read it. I am the unlearned guy who can't read. I have no knowledge; those who have seen the summer workouts are not speaking. I am ready to deduce from anything or nothing. What to the big boys know? Are the Big 10 and other power teams of the world afraid to play us? If Purdue wants to offer us a game, the Summit League will schedule around it. I would be delighted with a scrimmage against Purdue..., at Mackey Arena which is only 88 miles from my house. Purdue could do this as a favor to a great big man..., I disremember his name.
Follow me as I reason from silence. I listed my starters. Many of you would have Jackson or Wilkinson starting but I think there are many names which very few would list as a starter. We need to divide the team as we think; then I will change the division. The returning players (including all who redshirted last year) would take most of the starting spots in our individual projections. Add Mr. Davis Kern to these because he was selected player of the year. Remove Mr. Jadyn Cascio Jensen because I bet he would be listed as a starter on very few lists.
Each of you can deduce from your projected starters. Mine are men named Kern, Mors, Garry, Burton, and Sayler. The big men not on that list are men named Wilkinson, Squires, and Delzell. The guards not on that list are men named Alvarez, Buchanan, Haertle, Jackson, Jensen, and Rogers. As I said, every man who has seen the workouts and knows who is playing well is watching hia lip.
Therefore, we need to ask what would and wouldn't be silenced. If the list of my starters plus Mr. Jackson and Mr. Wilkinson were all playing well would it be silenced? By hypothesis, this information would have been given. Would Coach Peterson be mad if a poster said this? "It appears the best seven are Burton, Kern, and the five returning men who were on the floor last year." How could coach Peterson be mad?
If a poster named three men from that list and said they fell on their collective swords, Coach Peterson would be furious. He doesn't want to hit the confidence of these men. Therefore, by deduction, three to four of the list of unexpected men, including at least one big, are in the rotation next year. It is possible my starters (or yours) will start but some starting positions are still undecided.
Is this because unexpected men have played with exceptional mental toughness (which I call a chip on the shoulder)? Do the big boys know? Is this why we cannot complete our non conference schedule?
Buckle up. Expect several very pleasant surprises. If Butler wants to play us in the middle of the Summit League time, the Summit League will make sure the date Butler offers is open. I doubt this will happen. Those guys are scared to play us because they know something. I doubt any expected starter has fallen on his sword; the other guys are smashing.
