Having said that, I thought David Brown and Freddy Coleman solidified themselves as one of my favorite non-Jacks affiliated combos with their WBB coverage earlier today

I can't decide which of the freshman Jacks are my favorite--it's mainly between Hadnot, Larson and Sayler right now. I'm inclined towards Hadnot because of the massive upside the guy has. Whorton and Jackson both have tons of upside too, as does Wilkinson.

It's a tough call right now, though.

Jay Elsen and his cohort are showing their true USD bias. I thought there was hope for him to be fair

not sure what was happening in the game when you wrote this. I really think Newitt has become the best announcer on Midco. he is often complementing the Jacks. I would say Elsen cannot help being a bit yote biased, but I think he has become far far move fair in his game calls

overall, I felt like they did a very nice job. I think that coleman and brown are also very fair. Coleman also has always been complementary toward the Jacks, but his style is too similar to Clark Kellog for me.

Omaha's mid-February schedule should lend some clarity. They play Jacks in Brookings on 2/13 and visit the Tommies on 2/15.

Might need to root for 'Roos on 3/1 when they close out Tommies' schedule in St. Paul.

I used to think this about Newett but I watched the whole game on Midco and didn't think that of this game.

I watched the replay with Elsen & Newitt. There seemed to be lots of sunshine pumped for the Jackrabbits compared to the yotes. Although, there was much less sunshine to be pumped for the yotes and the announcers were hoping for a close game during the pregame chatter. I would agree that Newitt does a professional job and Elsen did not choke too much with positive Jackrabbit statements. USD fans would have been saying similar things if Tom Nieman was the announcer for yote games.
