  • GDT: SDSU vs UND 7pm FB&T Arena Midco/SLN (Back to school night)

The Fighting Hawks come to Brookings with 1-3 conference record. They were a preseason 6th place team. The Jackrabbits(1-2) need a home win to crawl to the upper half of the standings. Eaglestaff & Tulane transfer Panoam lead the scoring at 18.6 & 13.2. There are JUCO transfers & Eli King(Otz recruit at ISU) with a few original HS recruits. Sather has had some good freshmen in the past, but they looked for greener pastures right away. The students are back this week and there is pizza served for students tonight. There should be a good turnout for students. The Jackrabbits should keep the home winning streak going tonight. Go Jacks!!

Well this is the offense that could lead us to a conference title.

If they would just quit calling phantom fouls on Oscar.

We are two different teams at home vs on the road. It does seem we may have played the two top teams on the road though already in Omaha and St Thomas.

We have quite an impressive squad. If we get rolling... look out.

I love watching this team, and how they play.

The guards were getting lanes to the bucket for layups. UND is not a great defensive team. The Jackrabbits did very well in the 2nd half holding UND to 29 points. Their leading scorers were a combined 10 points low for their average. The refs called 41 fouls with emphasis on offensive fouls(and a couple phantom calls on Cluff). The 41 is 8 more than the average game for SDSU & 7 more than average game for UND. SDSU is averaging 48%FG for the season and 54% in conference. This should be a successful conference season.

The fighting postal hawks are not good and I would venture a guess we wont shoot those percentages again.
