  • GDT: Jackrabbits vs Mavs 1:05pm Baxter Arena SLN

The Jackrabbits skate into Baxter today looking for that first road victory. The Mavs are scoring 85pt/game in conference and sporting a 3-0 record. They picked up 2 road wins in ND last week and handled KC Thursday. The Mavs were a preseason 8th place choice. The Mavs drafted a couple of Bison for this year's team. Waddles and Streit have left Fargo to become Mavericks. 3rd year HC Crutchfield also has a couple of JUCO additions to the roster. There will not be many underclassmen playing minutes today as the juniors and seniors will be logging nearly all minutes. The Jackrabbits will get it together today for the first road win. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Good start and then the wheels fall off. This team just can't maintain any focus. It's a definite trend that is concerning.

If someone could guard Sutton we would be up by a dozen.

And now Waddles. Good start to the game but then all Omaha since.

          It's been frustrating to watch

I’m sorry, but there isn’t enough talent on this team. We just don’t have the athleticism and length we need to have.

Don't seem to have an idea what to do if getting it in to Oscar isn't working. As hard as teams are doubling him, there should be open shots to be had with a little ball movement. Time to go watch the women and come back and watch the replay of the second half if they manage to get back in it.

This team hasn't improved at all. Played their best basketball the first 5 games of the season. Could be a long year with few road wins.

Hopefully they start showing some improvement the rest of the way.

I was going to say that you can split screen and get some affirmation from Jacks WBB. Currently have 15-3 lead w/5:32 left in Q1

Omaha is good this year and the Jacks fought back today but disheartening to see an 0-2 week. We lack size and athleticism on the perimeter but I still think the talent is there to win the conference. Does feel like we’ve hit a plateau with development as the season has gone along. Hopefully something changes to get this team back to the top of the conference.

With eight freshmen on this team, and six playing a lot with two starting… This is going to be a learning experience of sorts! This team has to be one of the youngest in the nation…But if they stick around, it’ll be quite a team for the future!!

I don’t think this can be stressed enough. This team is so young.

St Thomas and Omaha were both loaded with upper class men.
