Not sure why Sayler isn't in here down the stretch. All the other guards seem to be hesitant to pull the trigger from the perimeter.

Garry 3 with 15 seconds left to take the lead rattles out (he is 1-13 shooting tonight). Regardless of the outcome, this team has fight!

Yes. Very impressive 2nd half adjustments and grit. My impression of Wilkensen flipped 180 in a half. What a promising team

If you would say with out Cluff, our starting guards went 1-14 on 3s and a chance for the lead with 15 seconds left, I would not have believed you.

that is what happens when you win the rebound battle. take away even ONE turnover early in the game and we are likely ahead with 15 seconds instead of looking for a shot to take the lead. we handled their aggressiveness so much better as the game went along

win both the boards and the TO battle and it is close to impossible to lose. NOT impossible (ask the 85 Gtown Hoyas) but very very close, pretty rare to have an opponent shoot over 78% for a whole game and that is about the only way you could lose

we played nine players in tonights game. SIX of them were freshman. I DO NOT want them to use that as an excuse!!! and I very much doubt that Hendo and staff will allow it!!, but it seems kinda understandable we could have a few TOs in such a scenario. if these 6 freshman all stick around for 4 years, I think we might be in for some fun basketball (just in case I need to clarify, that is very intentionally understated)

There's no question that they would prefer Oscar, but Wilkinson and Whorton combined for 20 and 12. They probably missed him more for the turnover margin and defense. Plus he would have gotten double teamed a lot more than W & W did.

Wilkinson was much better than I anticipated!
Wharton is coming on, with more time and experience he's going to be tough.

So much fun to watch these guys. Yes, there WILL be hiccups having such a young team. But man, they are promising. And entertaining to watch.
