  • SDSU vs Long Beach State 8:15pm FB&T Arena SLN/Midco

The "Beach" are coached by first year HC Chris Acker who spent the past 5 years at the sdsu aztecs. Acker has 12 new players on the roster. 3 are true freshmen. The Beach are picked to finish 8th in the 11 team Big West. They won the conference tourney as a 5 seed in March 2024. It is unlikely we will see the shark mascot Elbee(they/them) on the road trip. The Beach will have some length to match up against the Jackrabbits. The first MBB game in FB&T should be a great start for the remodeled arena. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

It will be interesting to see how they follow up from the great showing in the Pentagon. It's probably not realistic to expect that a team this young will play that well every night, but it is exciting to see that the talent is there.

Looks like we have a female official working the men's game, which I don't know if I've seen before. This team is so much fun to watch because they move the ball so much.

Cluff is such a tank. Awesome first day of SDSU at new Frost!

Considering the experience level of this team that’s a game they probably shouldn’t win. Talk about toughness. My goodness.

The value of these first two wins can’t be understated. If we can win the Summit these will help a lot when it comes to seeding.

They were athletic and couldn’t miss late. Incredible tenacity by Cluff to win it. Need to clean up the fouls but this young team is fun to watch!

That was an awesome game to experience live. I wish the Jacks would've had fewer turnovers and shot better from the FT line, but it was great they emerged victorious, especially as annoying as a couple of the Long Beach players' antics were.
