Larson is not a stand around and dribble guy. The ball is moving when he touches the ball. The team looks comfortable on the floor and the confidence is positive.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

They looked really good. Kind of hard to overstate, that was a good team they played last night.

There were a lot of surprises but Sayler has a good all around game and can actually drive the basketball along with shooting it. Its going to be hard to defend when you also got the big aussie down low. That was a helluva game way beyond expectations!

i believe that it will be difficult to ever be out of any game when you win the rebound contest by double digits!

I was thrilled with the dominant performance on the boards. we really seemed to get away from prioritizing rebounding the last couple years.

in that same line of thinking, the most disappointing part of the game was with about 2 minutes to go letting them have 4 O Boards in one trip down the floor including one off of a FT which should very simply NOT happen

even with that, we won the boards by 14!!
fantastic first games for Larson, Sayler, Hadnot, and dont forget Jackson! the 4 freshman made all 12 of our 3s!!

i have zero doubt that Garry will have plenty of good scoring games when he is not in foul trouble and is able to get into a better rhythm.

I was fairly surprised by the playing time split between Mors and Barnhart. I like Mors a lot and LOVE his hustle, but I suspect the minutes for these 2 might be much closer in most games. i guess time will tell?

          fantastic start!!

The off season for this team was so hollow after graduating three starters and losing our best two players to the portal. That led to a complete changing of the roster with only a couple of returning veterans. The Jacks reloaded with a very talented freshman class and a couple of players from the portal. Nobody knew what to expect. Heck, we still don't.

However, if the team gives effort and grit like they did last night, we will win a lot of basketball games! McNeese State is no joke and they will prove that the rest of the way.

The excitement level for this team just went way up. Hendo tempered it on the post-game radio by saying it is just one game and he is right. That said, I think Jackrabbit Nation should be pretty fired up about this team!

It is guaranteed that the other teams in the Summit League took notice of what happened in Sioux Falls, The Jacks will be a force come conference season!

Can't wait for Friday night and two great games in the new arena! Did you all see the emails about the new light show for before the game that uses the app on our phones? That should be awesome!

            See you Friday!

That was a big time win for the young Rabbits. There isn't a lot of freshman guards that could handle the physicality and pressure that McNeese plays with.. I don't think McNeese played great but to win the rebounding battle the way they did was really impressive.

The guards will have to be able to put some pressure on the rim throughout the season, because I don't think teams are going to let those 3 guys get off 20+ 3's a game but with Cluff in the middle they will have opportunities.

Very fun squad to root for and we had a blast watching them down in Sioux Falls. Larson, Sayler, Garry, Hadnot, and Jackson are going to be a GREAT group of dudes to root for.

It's early but it looks like the Rabbit fans will continue to be spoiled with high level hoops action this winter.

McNeese kept it close with #2 Alabama last night. Had the deficit to six late in the second half before getting beat 64-72.

Hopefully that bodes well for the Jacks when they head to Tuscaloosa. This team could be special, but only time will tell.
