  • GDT: Denver vs SDSU SLT Championship 8:30 Premier Center CBSSN

#7 seed Denver jumps into the final. Bruner comes to the game with a bad wheel as he scored 23 last night in 35 minutes. He did get normal minutes. The entire team of Denver had 8 assists with 5 of those from freshman Craig. The last game between these teams was similar to a brawl as it was played in Frost. The defense of the Jackrabbits that showed up for the Tommies could be lethal for Denver. Bruner will need to tape his foot/ankle tight if he makes his high octane moves. 7' Fr reserve Carr was troublesome for Omaha last night(9 pts, 10 boards, & 2 assists). The Jackrabbits cannot let the defense relax against the #7 seed as the Pios have been clicking against KC & Omaha. The Jackrabbit defense can carry the team to win the rubber match with Denver. Go Jacks!!

I said after we beat them in Frost I didn't want to see them in the SL tournament because of the amount of talent they had.

That still stands. They have oodles of talent.

But also... they kind of limped to the finish of the SL regular season, but then turned it around to win 2 in a row.

I like our chances, but we're going to have to show up to play. Hopefully Mims can get in Bruner's head again, especially if he's a bit hobbled. He did not appreciate being guarded hard in Brookings.
    -Also, he's darn good.

Mayo drills a three to push the lead to 20. 48-28 Jacks four minutes into the second half.

What is the record for dunks by a single Jacks player in one game?

Would someone even have tracked that? Kyle has been above the rim all night.

Cheap one by Bruner on Gerry. No question he blasted him on purpose.

Easley rolls his ankle hard coming down from a three point shot where the defender slid under the landing spot.

Easley appears to injure ankle. Definitely not something I wanted to see

Unfortunately not, although they're tracking Bruner's shoe styles, so who knows.

Can't put the ball through the hoop at all the last 5 minutes.

Spending a lot of time reviewing Mims' backside.

                            Jacks win! 76-68.

The last 8 minutes of that game were ugly. I hope Easley is OK.

Win is a win, hopefully a decent match up in the NCAA.
