The Spartans[8-6] are 2nd place preseason choice for the MEAC. We do have a common opponent in Wichita St. who defeated Norfolk St. Robert Jones is the HC who is in his 11th year leading the program and he has been on the staff for another 7 years prior to HC. Jones has a long list of coaching accolades for the past 10 years including 7 post season appearances. The Spartans have some size to mix into the lineup while the team shoots 44.6% FG. Wyoming held the Jackrabbits to 36% and outrebounded the Jackrabbits 40-24. The Cowboys also managed to get 14 personal fouls on the 3 bigs. The 29 of 61 shots from 3pt seemed a bit high when the team averaged 20% accuracy. The Jackrabbits need to find the game they had in Wichita and stay out of foul problems. Go Jacks!!

Mayo playing. I still am not sure what we are trying to do offensively at times. 7 minutes in and all 7 of our field goal attempts have been 3 pointers. We just are not setting up our big guys at all inside to do well. Going to be tough to win games if we live and die by the 3 all year.

Hendo talked about lack of energy and connectivity last night in the post-game. Today, during the interview with him on the pregame, Tyler said yesterday's post-game interview could have been the most disappointed or frustrated (forgot which word he used) he had ever heard him. Hendo mentioned the lack of excitement they played with yesterday.

I can't tell you how many times Hendo has mentioned connectivity (or lack thereof) during the interviews over the course of the season (it was mentioned again last night), but it feels like it has to be at least 10+ times.

Holding out hope that Mims provides some leadership and ends up being the missing link. I also think Mors should play more as well as he’s played very hard in the limited minutes he’s getting.
